The company has several aquaponics farm projects under development that will produce farm-fresh nutrient-packed produce and fresh or frozen organic fish products, rich in Omega-3 oils. We cultivate our healthy and tasty organics in an indoor closed-loop contamination-free aquaponics farm, with no artificial additives, hormones, or genetic modification. Aquaponic farming is a sustainable indoor cultivation method that combines landbased fish-farming (aquaculture) with hydroponic horticulture. ecogrow s farming system exceeds conventional aquaponics with a full-circle simulated ecosystem. The indoor farm comprises aquaculture, horticulture, and vermiculture and maintains year-round optimized growing conditions for each species. Fish Worms and fish offal are fed to omnivorous fish species. Phytoplankton and agae from the hydroponics troughs are fed to the herbivorous fish. 3 Plants Water, rich with fish manure nutrients, is filtered and used in hydroponics water troughs to feed plants. Fish offal is used to produce liquid plant nutri-stimulant. Worms The organic vegetable waste from horticulture feeds the worms in vermiculture. Worm castings ( vermicompost ) is used to fertilize hydroponics plants. Pollinators This 100% organic farming process uses bees as natural pollinators. The proprietary Beyond Organic Food Circle propagation system combines advanced technology with sound organic farming methods and strategies for the symbiotic cultivation of fish and produce. Aquaponic farming combines hydroponics and aquaculture. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants in water containing mineral nutrients, without soil. The ecogrow system contains floating rafts technology that uses the inflow of nutrient-rich water to nourish plants and guide their floating rafts towards the harvesting station, as the crops mature. This closed-loop water system is low-energy: the water flow pushes the floating rafts along, as crops mature. They flow along from the starter station (where the plants enter) to the harvesting station (where they are removed). The water acts as a conveyor system. The only water and nutrients to exit this closed-loop ecosystem are what is contained in ecogrow s fish and produce products. Raft-Grown Crops Herbs, lettuce, microgreens, baby greens, and nutraceuticals (including edible flowers) are grown on floating rafts, using the small water-footprint Floating Rafts Technology. Our fish tanks with recirculating water currents emulate the fish natural environment, creating a flowing stream. The constant current promotes exercise, as in nature, and results in high quality full-flavoured fish with healthy flesh-tone. Species-Specific Optimization Species-specific optimization of tank conditions ensures salinity, flow rate, lighting, and dissolved oxygen levels are always most propitious. Zoned fish and crustacean halls accommodate tropical, fresh, and salt water species. Each species is fed a balanced organic nutrient-rich diet, based on optimal healthy growth rates, with no carried fats. Processing Fish and crustaceans are humanely processed in our onsite ultra-clean facilities, ensuring the flesh is clean and free of undesired muddy flavour and texture.
