The formulation of joint projects closely linking research, education, development and international actions The launch of an Information and Services Platform to make member resources easily accessible to candidates worldwide Development and follow-up of foresight study Joint international representation by pooling expertise in international relations A support for the construction of partnerships with the actors of the global system for agricultural research The development of international dimensions (e.g. through young researchers mobility programs and creation of an International Research School offering thematic, multidisciplinary research-based courses, open to a broad range of questions and to candidates worldwide

(1) Together Agreenium members represent: One of the largest alliance on agrosciences, integrating agricultural, food, environmental and vetirinary sciences with fundamental life science, information science and engineering: 2 nd /482 in world ranking for publications in agricultural science, 2 rd /931 in plant and animal science, 14 th /354 in microbiology, 36 th /585 in environment (data for INRA) 1,100 million budget Large number of cooperation agreements with professional partners International presence in more than 50 countries

7 With what resources? (2) Together Agreenium members represent: 300 research units (mainly large or medium size joint research units - UMR) more than 5,000 researchers and 800 professors / ass. Professors (life sciences (70%), environmental and processing sciences (15%), economic and social sciences (10%) and digital sciences (5%). 5,200 students (in majority master and engineers students) and 2,200 PhD students in the agricultural and veterinary fields (20% foreign PhD students)

14 AgreenSkills : Young researchers mobility program Program co-financed by EU (COFUND) (INRA coordination, Agreenium co-coordination, Agreenium member's hosting institutions) : - For excellent young scientist (in-going mobility) - Out-going mobility for French young researchers/assistant prof., - Creation of a network/community of young researchers in agricultural sciences, - Selective (foreign expert panel) - Attractive (salary + specific training) Budget 12.5 M (5 M Europe M Co-financing) Flux : 142 years post-doc (80% in-going mobility; 20% out-going) Permanent call starting march 2012 ; 2 selections/years

AgreenSkills is co-funded by the EC in the frame of the COFUND - FP7 People Programme and coordinated by INRA in cooperation with Agreenium.

16 The AgreenSkills offer and organisation " 142 fellow years over 4 years (recruiting from 2012 to 2015); " Incoming and outgoing mobility up to 24 months ; " Access to more than 300 research units, infrastructures and campus facilities ; " Salary conditions almost 60% over and above French state salaries for young researchers ; " Training, career development plan and networking ; " Continuous call for submission with two selection rounds per year (spring and autumn).
