Labeling Bill Clears First Hurdle in Senate The Senate cleared a procedural hurdle with a vote on legislation that would block state-mandated biotech food labeling laws and permit food producers to use QR codes on products containing biotech ingredients instead of stating on labels that the products are biotech.
