3 Workshop Report A workshop on entrepreneurship development was successfully completed in 5 days in 6 locations in rural Punjab, namely, Barwala, Dera bassi, Lalru, Banur and Ramgarh. The workshop was conducted by Focal Skills Pvt. Ltd. with support from CEMCA. The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh, Technical Expert, Mr. Parveen Bansal, Entrepreneurship Expert and Mr. Dinesh Grover, Marketing Expert. Each workshop began with displaying of banners and publicity materials. The first session was on the importance of Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Training and the participants were told about the opportunity they have to get training at the nearest Repair Guru Centre in their city. Then, e- content of NIESBUD entrepreneurship self-development module CD s were distributed to potential entrepreneurs, which was a crucial step in their development as entrepreneurs. Proper material and

4 demos were given to the participants regarding these CD s and course details were shared with the participants for mobile repair. After this, videos of mobile repair e- content were shown for anytime anywhere learning. A very good feedback was received for the e-content, and the candidates appreciated that the content is in local language as well. The next step was to explain Assessment and Certification to the participants, and share the importance of NSQF and TSSC certification with them. The entire session proved to be very motivational for all the candidates. The next session was titled Start-up Business Plan and Funding, and looked into brief investment requirement for setting up a Mobile repair shop and Credit Linkages available through Mudra loans and other Banks for those who want to take this step. This proved to be a very fruitful session as most participants were eager to become entrepreneurs but had no idea where to begin and where to get the investment from. The next session looked into the infrastructure set up required for a startup. It was shared that Repair Guru will help them set up their micro enterprise in an even and proficient manner. There was also a talk on service enablement where the repair Guru Model of Hub was discussed and the expert spoke on how repair support is provided.

The final step was to explain the Logistics and Admin Management to the candidates and tell them that free pick and drop facility is There was an encouraging response from the entrepreneurs and they found the workshop to be very useful for their future. They were given information about career growth in telecom and electronic sector by Focal skill experts, and the expert interacted with the youth and solved their queries at the end of each workshop.
