With their know-how and industrial competencies, they provide nutritional solutions to humanitarian and social programs. By producing directly in the countries affected by malnutrition, the members of PlumpyField bring production closer to the people that need it most. The network offers a local answer to the fight against malnutrition, launching new projects to treat and prevent malnutrition and encouraging local economic development. 3 A NETWORK UNIQUE IN THE WORLD The PlumpyField network is evidence for Nutriset that entrepreneurs in countries affected by malnutrition are able to develop quality products to answer national and regional needs. PlumpyField currently brings together partners (private companies and NGOs) as an industrial franchise. They are based not only in programmatic countries but also in France and the United States. They share information and know-how on a daily basis. The expertise of all members is pooled towards collaborative technical progress. Regular exchanges lead to shared common reflections and questioning and also to foster a common position. 4 ITS MISSIONS Since its creation, the PlumpyField network has focused its work on 4 major areas: Manufacturing quality nutritional solutions to meet needs. Members may manufacture any of the products from both Plumpy and Enov product ranges, through their partnership with Nutriset. In this way, they provide an efficient answer to the different forms of malnutrition, suited to each specific target, for example: children, pregnant and lactating women. Developing industrial tools and knowledge to meet the increasing demand. That development goes with the increase of the production capacities to respond to the demands of humanitarian stakeholders in terms of quantity and quality. The network meets international quality standards through the implementation of new processes and tools. Working with farmers to ensure an optimal supply of raw material. Via close and long term collaboration, the members support farmers so that they meet their needs. This boosts the development of high quality agricultural production in these countries. Supporting the development of local interrelated services. Members participate actively in the development of the economy in their countries through the creation of laboratories or innovative distribution channels.
