INTRODUCTION The Dawu Farm is a division of Hopenet Marketing Private Limited, a wholly owned Zimbabwean organization which was incorporated under the companies act (chapter 23:04) on the 26 th of September The company is an agri-business entity which focuses on the production, branding, marketing and distribution of farm products. 2. THE ORGANISATION The Company is founded on the idea that maintaining satisfied customers is essential to the financial health of the organization and with this in mind, the The Farm Dawu organisation works hard to ensure that all customers expectations are exceeded in all transactions. 3. VISION Our vision at The Dawu Farm is to be the preferred partner in the supply, branding, marketing and distribution of farm produce. 4. OUR STRENGTH We regard our work ethics in highest nature, productive and pro-active in our approach to projects, and accountable for all work undertaken at The Dawu Farm. (E.E) (General Manager) An Astute Electronic Engineer with over 11 years experience in Process Control, Industrialization and System Automation. Sibanda has worked on over 30 Major projects in Zimbabwe and the region mainly in the manufacturing, mining food processing and farming industries. Nomaqhawe Sibanda M.Sc. (D.S) B.Sc. (RA) (HOD Human Resources) Nomaqhawe Moyo holds a master s degree in Development Studies and an honours degree in Records and Archives Management. She runs the human resources department at The Dawu Farm. She handles all recruitments and staff development programs, to make sure that The Dawu Farm has a team that is well equipped and has the capacity efficiently execute all projects. Ishmael Muzika B.Sc. (C.S) MSc (I.S) (Systems Administrator) Ishmael is a master when it comes to system development and software applications. He has over 6 years experience in system development and project management. Ishmael has been part of more than 15 automation projects in a wide range of industries, he is highly skilled in application and enterprise software. Page4 4

5 Palma Daru B.Com. (P.S) (HOD Procurement & Logistics) Palma Daru is a holder of a B.Com degree in purchasing and supply. She is the one responsible for all our procurement logistics and the handling of all our supplier accounts and contracts. She also manages all our supply logistics to ensure that all our products are delivered on time and in good order. Lewis Sibanda B.Com. (Entre) (HOD Sales & Marketing) Lewis Sibanda holds an honours degree in Entrepreneurship, he runs the sales and marketing department at Dawu Farm, with his experience in sales and marketing and product knowledge he stays ahead of market trends and new products making sure all Dawu Farm clients are up to date. 7 PRODUCTION The Dawu Farm mainly focuses on poultry, piggery, goats, lambs, dairy and horticulture. POULTRY PROJECTS The Dawu Farm runs projects to produce poultry products listed below: Eggs. Day Old Chicks. Broilers. Layers Road Runners These products are sold on order from both the Dawu Farm online shop as well as well as from our retail outlets. HORTICULTURE PROJECTS The Dawu Farm runs several horticulture projects to produce fresh vegetables some of which are listed below: Cucumber. Peppers. Lettuce. Green Vegetables (chomolia, Spinach). Tomatoes. Cabbage. Butternut. Carrots, etc. We supplement our produce with supplies from our reliable partners and all our products can be traced back to its producer, the garden and batch. PIGGERY, GOATS, LAMBS, DAIRY PROJECTS The Dawu Farm runs livestock projects listed above. The farm produces: Piglets that are supplied to farmers for breeding. Pork, lamb and goat meat that is supplied to the meat industry. Fresh milk which is supplied to the dairy industry as well as sour milk (Amasi) which is supplied to restaurants and retailers. THE ONLINE SHOP & MOBILE APP The Dawu Farm is an innovative organisation which participates in local, regional and global markets. Our aim is to bring the farm to you, the customer, we give you the ability to buy anything of your choice from our range of farm products at the comfort of your home or office. The TDF Android App and the TDF Online shop brings the farm to your palm. You can select, order and make payments on our mobile and online platform and await your delivery of quality products while still in your comfort zone. OUR CLINTELE We offer a quality service to all our clients in various industries including delivery. HOTELS We Supply hotels with fresh farm produce, ranging from vegetables to fruits and eggs. Orders can be placed on the online farm shop on our website, or through or over the phone and we deliver our products on time as per specification. RESTUARENTS We Supply restaurants and fast food outlets with fresh farm produce, ranging from vegetables to potatoes and eggs. SUPERMARKETS Supermarkets and retail outlets can order farm products on or from our website. We offer a range of farm products with prompt deliveries. TDF supplies packaged and branded products as well as nonbranded products. Grapes. Bucheries We supply meat and spices to bucheries and meat dealers for sausage production. Boarding Schools We Supply boarding schools with fresh farm produce. 10 THE DAWU FARM & PARTNERS The Dawu Farm partners with many other farmers in the supply of quality produce. The Farm Dawu The Dawu Farm is an agri-business entity which works closely with small to medium scale farmers. We support projects and promote farmers through contract farming, product branding, marketing and distribution. OUR MODEL Our model is simple, the partner focuses on producing quality product, while we handle the branding, marketing, and distribution logistics. POULTRY ANIMALS HORTICULTURE CONTRACTS We supply farmers with day old chicks. We buy eggs and live chickens for slaughter and packaging. We buy live stock for fattening, slaughter, and packaging thus cattle, pigs, goat and sheep. We buy fruits, vegetables and spices, we package, brand, market and resell to our clients. We do contract farming in support of small to medium scale farmers, we supply inputs and buy back the product. TRAINING We work with tried and tested agriculturalists who carry out training programs who train all our contract farmers to maximize yield and produce quality product. Page10 10
