2 HDPE Series Shurjot offers a series HDPE couplgs and adapters for jog HDPE pipe. The use of HDPE (high density polyethylene) pipe contues to grow popularity as its benefits over traditional materials are realized a variety of service applications. The benefits of an HDPE pipe system clude a longer service life, creased flexibility, reduced weight, creased resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and fatigue, as well as superior flow characteristics. HDPE is now commonly used service applications cludg municipal water and waste water, water distribution and transport, mg, slurry and many other general and dustrial applications. Shurjot HDPE couplgs provide a fast and easy way to mechanically jo HDPE pipe. series of sharply mached teeth securely grip the pipe as the bolts are tightened, resultg a leak-free jot. The Shurjot jog method elimates the need for costly heat fusion equipment. The highly restraed jot allows long lengths of pipe to be pulled from one area to another. With the removal of a few bolts one can easily access the system for cleang, matenance, changes and or system expansion. Shurjot HDPE couplgs are designed to jo IPS HDPE pipe, DR32.5 to 7.3, conformg to STM D2513, D3350 and or NSI/WW 901 and ISO HDPE pipe, SDR 9 to 26, conformg to ISO /2. s the ductile iron couplg is much stronger than HDPE pipe itself, pressure ratgs of HDPE couplgs are determed by the pressure ratg of HDPE pipe used. Install Gasket: Place a gasket over the pipe ends and center the gasket between the first set gasket centerg marks. The pipe ends should always be butted agast each other. Mount Housgs: Place the housgs over the gasket, ensure the gasket stays centered between the first set marks made on the pipe ends and the housgs are properly centered between the second set couplg center marks. lso make sure that housg tongue and groove (T&G) mate correctly. Tighten Nuts: Tighten nuts alternately and equally until the bolt pads meet and make metalto-metal contact. Repeated alternate tighteng will reduce tighteng torque considerably. Tighten nuts by another one quarter to one half turn to make sure the bolts and nuts are snug and secure. Refer to the Shurjot stallation struction manual for complete structions. Shurjot HDPE couplgs are not tended for use on PV, PP or other materials. Do not use standard soap based lubricant on HDPE pipe. Shurjot recommends the use of a silicone based lubricant with the HDPE series. In order to avoid juries from the sharp mached teeth, wear gloves when handlg. 156 HDPE Series

3 H305 HDPE ouplg The Shurjot H305 HDPE ouplgs feature four bolt housgs and a series of sharply mached teeth which securely grip the pipe as the bolts and nuts are tightened. The result is a leak-tight jot that is as strong as or stronger than the pipe itself. The H305 also features a contoured housg with tegral ramps along the outside diameter to help the couplg slide over most obstacles durg the relocation of pipe runs.
