9 Source: USDEC China Current export products: whey, cheese, other dairy products Tariff rate varied from 2%-15% and now vary from 27% to 45%. U.S. is #1 producer of whey. 42% of U.S. whey exported to China. Who will supply China now? Lost sales in China are expected to cost U.S. dairy farmers $1.1 billion in 2018 and an estimated $2.2 billion in 2019.
