3 First Workshop of the International Network of Black Soils and International Symposium on Black Soils Members of the FAO s Global Soil Partnership launched the International Network of Black Soils (INBS) during the Global Symposium on Soil Organic Carbon in March During the fifth GSP Plenary Assembly in July 2017, the INBS decided to hold its First Workshop in Harbin, China in September In October 2017, a preparatory meeting for planning the First Workshop of INBS was held in Harbin and the INBS decided that the symposium would be held on 10 th -12 th September This symposium is organized by FAO-GSP, and the co-organizers include the Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences, the INBS, the Chinese Soil Science Society, the Counselor's office of People's Government of Heilongjiang Province and the Soil Science Society of Heilongjiang Province. FAO and the INBS are pleased to welcome all the participants to the International Symposium on Black Soils and the First Workshop of the International Network of Black soils!
