3 VIXEN P AH NEW VIXENP is the highest yielding commercially available early-mid maturing (similar to Spitfire) AH wheat in the South-Eastern zone. VIXENP offers a significant yield advantage, on average, compared to Condo (approx. 5-6%) and Suntop (approx. 11%). Long-term NVT MET data indicates yields are slightly higher than BECKOMP, on average. VIXEN SP early-mid maturity is ideally suited to sowing from the third week in May onwards. In addition to the variety s stand-out yield performance it offers good stripe and stem rust resistance and yellow leaf spot resistance. VIXENP also has strong physical grain characteristics. It has a good grain size and produces low screenings. VIXENP also has a short-moderate plant height, providing reduced stubble loads in high yielding environments. VIXENP is available for planting in 2019 from local Seedclub members and resellers. A cunning variety for those looking to win the early-mid maturing, AH wheat race. SPARTACUS CLP is agronomically similar to LA TROBEP, offering a similar leaf disease profile, good physical grain qualities and has a short rachilla hair length, reducing itchiness. SPARTACUS CLP provides a robust disease resistance profile and is resistant to CCN. It also has good net form of net blotch resistance (pathotype dependent). The variety has moderately good straw strength, a low head loss risk and good grain plumpness. SPARTACUS CLP has a short coleoptile, and it is recommended that sowing depth be carefully considered when sowing. SPARTACUS CLP is available in 2019 from local Seedclub members and resellers. 4 LA TROBE P MALT FARMER TO FARMER TRADE APPROVED LA TROBEP is a high yielding, broadly adapted, early maturing, malting variety. It has a low head loss risk, moderately good straw strength and useful leaf disease resistance. LA TROBEP possesses malting qualities extremely well suited to export brewing markets and has good physical grain characteristics. The variety has excellent hectolitre weight, which exceeds SCOPE CLP and RGT PLANETP. Its grain plumpness is similar to HINDMAR- SHP. These characteristics significantly improve the prospect of achieving Malt 1 classification at receival. LA TROBEP possesses good pre-harvest sprouting tolerance. It has a moderate-short coleoptile, similar to HINDMARSHP and it is recommended that sowing depth be carefully considered when planting this variety. LA TROBEP is available for farmer to farmer trade. HECTOLITRE WEIGHT: VERY Governing low-medium rainfall environments, a proven export malt leader. BANKSP continues to consistently perform in NVT trials and demonstrates excellent yield stability. BANKSP provides excellent net form net blotch resistance when compared to RGT PLANETP. BANKSP also offers good powdery mildew resistance, an advantage in higher disease pressure environments. The variety has moderately good straw strength and low head loss risk. BANKSP has good hectolitre weight and is currently undergoing malt accreditation with earliest possible accreditation in March BANKSP seed is available for planting in 2019 from local resellers or Seedclub members. 5 ROSALIND P FEED FARMER TO FARMER TRADE APPROVED ROSALINDP is a mid-maturing feed barley with exceptional yield potential. ROSALINDP is a broadly adapted variety, performing very well across all rainfall zones, with an ideal time for sowing being early to late May (main season sowing window). The variety is quick to reach awn emergence although has a long grain filling period. It is an excellent option where there is a low probability of delivering malt barley, and yield and yield stability is the top priority. ROSALINDP has a robust disease resistance profile. It offers good leaf rust resistance, powdery mildew (pathotype dependent) and excellent net form of net blotch resistance. ROSALINDP has good straw strength, a low head loss risk and has moderately good grain plumpness with low screenings. ROSALINDP is available for farmer to farmer trade.
