It has three agro-climatic zones. Bihar is the youngest state in India and is birthplace for human & intellectual resource for India. Bihar has traditionally been an inclusive and pluralistic society & hence acted as birth place of religions like, Buddhism, Jainism. Bihar is No.1 state in production of Lychee & Gorgon nut (E. Ferox) and produces more than 90% of country s production, It s No.2 in Jute & Cauliflower, It s No.3 in Cabbage, Okra, Pointed Gourd, Potatoes, Maize and Lentil (Masur) in India Bihar is 3rd largest producer of vegetables in India and 6th largest producer of fruits in India.
