1 ECONOMICS & STATISTICS DIVISION STATE PLANNING INSTITUTE GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH PRESS NOTE QUICK ESTIMATES OF STATE INCOME (Base Year ) Dated: Lucknow, Jan, 02, 2019 The Economics and Statistics Division of the State Planning Institute, Uttar Pradesh has released the Quick Estimates of State Income at constant( ) and current prices for the year The Quick estimates for the year both at current and constant ( ) prices are derived as per the methodology provided by Central Statistical Office, Government Of India(GOI), New Delhi and using the quick and provisional data provided by various related departments of the State Government. 3. The significant features of the Quick Estimates of Gross State Domestic Product(GSDP) and Net State Domestic Product(NSDP) of U.P. for the year are as follows:- (i) The growth of GSDP at constant ( ) prices for the year is estimated to be 7.0%. (ii) As per the estimates of gross state value added (GSVA) at constant ( ) prices the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary sectors of the economy show a growth of 7.8%, 3.7% & 8.3% respectively in (iii) The growth of NSDP at constant ( ) prices for the year is estimated to be 7.0%. (iv) The Per Capita Income of U.P (in terms of NSDP at current prices) for the year has shown a growth of 8.9%. Per Capita Income is estimated to be Rs in (v) Sectoral distribution of GSVA at current price for the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Sectors is 27.0%, 25.0% and 48.0% respectively in The detailed description of estimates is as follows: ESTIMATES AT CONSTANT ( ) PRICES Gross State Domestic Product at Market Price (GSDP) 4. According to the Quick Estimates of state income GSDP at constant prices is estimated to be Rs crore in showing a growth of 7.0%. Gross State Value Added at Basic Prices (GSVA) 5. GSVA at constant prices is estimated to be Rs crore in showing a growth of 6.9%. GSVA of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary sectors is estimated to be Rs crore, Rs crore and Rs crore respectively in showing a growth of 7.8%, 3.7% and 8.3% respectively.

2 Industry wise Analysis Agriculture and Livestock 6. The estimates of Crop subsector have been prepared mainly using the data provided by Directorate of Agriculture, Directorate of Horticulture, Board of Revenue, Govt. Of U.P. and Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. Of India. The GSVA of Crop subsector shows a growth of 9.1 % in The estimates of Livestock subsector have been prepared mainly using the data provided by Animal Husbandry Department and Sericulture Department, Govt. Of U.P. and rates & ratios provided by CSO. The GSVA of Livestock subsector shows a growth of 1.6% in Industry 8. The main indicators used to estimate Industry sector estimates are All India Wholesale Price Index (WPI), All India Index of Industrial Production (IIP) and MCA21 Database. The manufacturing subsector shows a growth of 2.6% in Services 9. The estimates of Service sector have been prepared mainly using the data provided by CSO, New Delhi and analyzing accounts of Local Bodies, Autonomous Institutions and State budget. The GSVA of service sector shows a growth of 8.3% in Net State Domestic Product at Market Price (NSDP) 10. NSDP at constant( ) prices is estimated to be Rs crore in showing a growth of 7.0 %.
