2 1.0 Project Background Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (Authority), a public body corporate, issues this Request for Information (RFI) for Commercial Ground Transportation Services Consultant, at Tampa International Airport (Airport). The Authority owns and operates the Airport. The Airport occupies approximately 3,400 acres and is primarily an origination-destination airport serving the greater Tampa Bay area. The passenger traffic for 2013 was 16,930,086 with an average of 215 departures daily and the Airport is ranked 31 st among North American airports. The Airport is preparing for one of the biggest construction projects in Airport history including a new Consolidated Rental Car Facility and Automated People Mover. The Authority is soliciting information only responses to this RFI from prospective companies (Respondents) for a qualified consultant to provide analysis and recommendations regarding commercial ground transportation services at the Airport. The Authority desires a comprehensive study of the Airport s entire commercial ground transportation service program to include options, strengths and weaknesses, accommodation of new emerging industry services, and preferred agreement and fee structures. The study will be consistent with the Authority s focus on excellent customer service while balancing the needs of the commercial airport ground transportation industry (Industry), improving operations, and enhancing customer safety and service issues. The Authority does not guarantee that a contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI, nor does the Authority guarantee that a formal solicitation such as a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation to Bid (ITB) or other procurement process will be issued as a result of this RFI. 3 3.0 Response to RFI Respondents must complete the RFI form that is posted with this document and return the RFI form in accordance with Section 5.0, Response Submission. 4.0 Evaluation of Responses It is Authority's intention to evaluate responses and to determine the level of interest and capabilities of providing the services based on the information provided by each Respondent in the RFI form. 5.0 Response Submission 5.01 Response Due Date Responses must be received no later than May 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m Delivery Information The Authority s office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding major holidays.
