He currently chairs the FEEDAP Panel of the EFSA and is the author of some 200 publications. Sven Dänicke is scientific co-worker at the Institute of Animal Nutrition at the FAL, Braunschweig/Germany, since In 1992 he started his career as scientific co-worker at the Institute of Animal Nutrition at the Agricultural Faculty of the Martin-Luther- University Halle-Wittenberg/Germany. Yvan Dejaegher is Vice-Chairman at OVOCOM and Chairman of the IF- SA, Brussels/Belgium. He worked 10 years in Africa in implementing national agricultural units. He joined the compound industry in 1988 and created a Belgian platform for a Belgium Feed Assurance Scheme. Alexander Döring has been FEFAC Secretary General, Brussels/Belgium, since In 1991 he started as external analyst for the DG Agriculture, European Commission and became European Affairs Manager, Groupement of European flour millers, GAM and Northern European Rice Miller Association (NERMA) in Johanna Fink-Gremmels is Professor and Head of Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University/The Netherlands. She has been serving among others DG Sanco and at present EFSA as expert in veterinary toxicology. She is author of more than 200 publications.
4 Gerhard Flachowsky is Director of the Institute of Animal Nutrition at the FAL, Braunschweig/Germany, since He became president of the FAL in His main focus of scientific research includes, e.g. nutritional physiology and feed science. He is author of more than 250 publications. Gerd Finkler is Scientific Officer for feed risk management at the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE), Bonn/Germany, and since 2003 at the BVL. Thierry Geslain is in charge of regulatory and scientific affairs in ANIA, Paris/France, for 10 years, after a short experience as consultant in quality assurance and in food industry. Manfred Hessing became Director Food Safety & Quality at BU Hendrix a Nutreco Company/The Netherlands in 2001 and is responsible e.g. for quality, food safety issues and networking. Recently Nutreco decided to sell the food activities and to focus fully on animal nutrition. Karsten Hohgardt is responsible for all questions concerning MRL setting and residue behaviour including collaboration in CCPR and EC in the field of MRL setting at the BVL, Braunschweig/Germany. He joint the BVL in Thomas Hülseberg is Head of the Competence Centre AGRI Analytik at SGS Germany GmbH, Laboratory Services Hamburg. He works in the field of chemical and microbiological examinations of compound feed, raw materials and grain. Helmut Schafft is working for the BfR, Berlin/Germany, and is responsible for contaminants in the food chain and feed safety. He is also senior lecturer at the Humboldt-University of Berlin in the field of animal nutrition. Hans Schenkel is Head of the State Laboratory on Agricultural Chemistry at the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart/Germany. His scientific interests focus e.g. on undesired substances in food chain and feed quality. Karl-Heinz Schwind has been working at the BFEL, Kulmbach/Germany, on undesirable residues in feed and food since He made first experiences with analysis and fate, e.g. of dioxins at the University Bayreuth. Andrew W. Speedy is Senior Officer (Feed and Animal Nutrition) in the Animal Production and Health Division of FAO. His present work includes the preparation of a database on good agricultural practices in projects, publications and work in the field. Frans Verstraete is responsible for legislation on mycotoxins and some contaminants of industrial and environmental origin. He chairs the EU Contaminants Working Group. Prior to joining the European Commission, he worked for the Belgian Ministry of Agriculture in the area of plant protection. Harry A. Kuiper is International Account Manager and Programme Leader at RIKILT Institute of Food Safety, Wageningen University/ The Netherlands, since He chairs since 2003 the GMO-Panel of EFSA and is member of the EFSA Scientific Committee. Uwe Petersen is working for the BMVEL, Bonn/Germany, and is responsible for animal nutrition and feed law. He joined the BMVEL in 1981.
