Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Environmental Policy Dole s brand, Supply Chain Infrastructure, and strict Quality & Food Safety Practices assure our customers a reliable supply of safe, wholesome and quality products. From farm to fork, Quality and Food Safety are our highest priorities. Dole s stringent quality standards meet and often exceed government requirements. ISO is our environmental standard. Maintaining High Standards -3rd party GMP, Food Safety, and Security Audit on annual basis -Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) and Sustainability Audit Program -Customer s GMP, Food Safety, and Security Audits -Effective Environmental Monitoring Program -Effective Traceability System -Agricultural Chemicals Tracking Our Product and/or Facilities -Allergen Free -Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) Free -Kosher Certified KOAOA and OU -Bioterrorism Act of 2002 Compliance under the Guidelines published by the USFDCA
4 Pillars of Sustainability 1) Water Management 2) Soil Conservation 3) Carbon Footprint 4) Waste Reduction
Water Management Water is one of our most valuable resources, Dole strives to manage it with optimum care and efficiency and has implemented the following: Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) guidelines for optimizing crop yields, while protecting the environment. Waste Water Recycling - Plant process water is used to irrigate the fields. Flow restriction nozzles have been installed on all hose drops to reduce water consumption. Boiler Condensate Recovery boiler condensate is recovered and sent back to the boilers for re-use.
Soil Conservation Soil conditions on Dole s orchards are maintained throughout the year by using these soil conservation methods: Grass is mowed periodically throughout the year and are tilled every four years to provide air to the soil. Drip irrigation systems use a product called gypsum. This product is used to improve the water distribution into the soil and reduces the amount of water needed to maintain healthy trees. These trees are maintained throughout the year by pruning and the tree trimmings are then chopped and added back into the soil to provide nutrients.
Benefits of IQF Frozen Fruit Premium quality, consistent taste, and appearance. Year-round supply. Picked at peak of ripeness. Individually quick-frozen process keeps fruit pieces from sticking together and locks in freshness, prevents damage. Labor savings. Ready-to-use. Easy-open, re-sealable bags. 100% useable. No waste. A variety of cut sizes -whole, diced, sliced, and spear. Frozen Fruit retains comparable nutrient values of fresh fruit. Versatile and healthy menu choice.
