8 PROJECT SUMMARY With this innovative project, Delmar Holding Spa accepts the challenge to combine 3 main themes that are currently very important: ENVIRONMENT ENERGY NUTRITION Keeping in mind the crucial global concern for the environment and the need for clean energy, as well as water and food scarcity in many countries, this project has the objective of implementing new methods of agricultural cultivation through the use of advanced technologies that have a positive environmental and socio-ethical impact, all while generating a profit. To reach this goal, our company proposes to implement out of soil cultivation techniques in GREENHOUSES that are completely energetically self sufficient thanks to the installation of photovoltaic equipment that will favor the growth of high quality produce; this is our solution to the challenges listed above.

9 THE ADVANTAGES The advantages of HYDROPONICS are numerous: Faster and continuous growth throughout the year Higher production yield thanks to the greater number of crops per surface unit (that are 2 to 10 times greater than traditional field cultivation) Reduced water use (up to 1/10 less!) No use of herbicides and minimal use of pesticides Higher quality products, given their uniformity of dimensions and organic characteristics

10 IDEAL LOCATION The Hydroponic Greenhouse Project can be implemented all around the world, and can be particularly useful in countries where desertification, poor soil quality, and water pollution and scarcity are most crucially needed. DESERTIFIED, POLLUTED, OR UNCULTIVABLE SOIL Since the hydroponic greenhouses are «out of soil», they can even be built on cement. Delmar Holding Spa will begin with a pilot project in Italy, and then expand to invest in projects internationally. CLIMATE CHANGE AND HOSTILE ENVIRONMENTS Changes in climate are already apparent. The greenhouses will be completely autonomous by utilizing «clean» energy, thus eliminating polluting emissions. SCARCE OR POLLUTED WATER RESOURCES Hydroponic techniques drastically reduce the amount of water necessary for cultivation; these greenhouses are ideal in those areas where water is scarce or contaminated.

11 CULTIVATION AND PRODUCTION The hydroponic greenhouses are great for cultivation of fresh crops: tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, as well as fresh fruit such as strawberries and other berries. Furthermore, hydroponic cultivation permits yields at least 3 or 4 TIMES GREATER than in traditional soil. For some cultivations, such as cucumbers and strawberries, its possible to grow them in MULTILEVEL (2-3 levels) greenhouses, thus obtaining yields that may be 9-10 times greater than that in traditional soil! 12 REALIZATION TIME SCHEDULE Our greenhouses will be created using a galvanized steel framework and covered with a two layer sheet that is 90% transparent. The hydroponic facilities will consist of suspended cultivation canals, water droppers directly placed on the plants, and a software that will manage the process, in real time, based on the plant s status, environmental conditions (temperature, relative humidity, sun exposure), and the correct balance between water and nutritional requirements. This is all developed using the the most advanced technologies and the most efficient facilities. Essential parameters like temperature, humidity, and surrounding CO2 in parts per million will also be controlled to ensure a perfect cultivation.
