9 LIFE-AGRICARE Project MASCHIO GASPARDO is partner of the LIFE-AGRICARE (LIFE13 ENV/IT/000583) project, promoted by The European Union to enhance the technological innovation in agriculture, with the purpose of decreasing dangerous gas emissions and of protecting the environment. 4 AGRICARE project has the purpose to show that the application of precision farming advanced technologies on conservative agriculture can lead to equal or even bigger profit compared to conventional techniques. This with a decrease of gas emissions, avoiding at the same time soil degradation. The project is about: different cultivation techniques conventional minimum tillage strip tillage no-till 9

12 Conservative agriculture 0 Time spent Costs Operations for tillage CONSERVATIVE AGRICULTURE In no tillage soil isn't plowed. Residues of previous harvesting are left on the seedbed. Cover crops to protect soil are used between seedings. An increase of soil fertility and a decerease of CO2 and soil erosion is the final result. During the job, a front depth wheel will help the front furrow to maintain its right position. 50 mm bearing The rear tire is very large and wide to minimize soil compaction and ensure a secure footing. 40 cm depth Wide clearance and 160 x 160 mm sturdy frame gives the utmost grip on the soil, for a fluid plowing even with residues. 17

22 Electronics at your service i-mg FARMING MASCHIO GASPARDO introduces the new i-mg Farming platform for the management of all the ISOBUS functions, specialized in the seeding segment. ISOBUS technology improves the communication between the equipment and the tractor, allowing to manage the various equipment operations from the monitor installed on the tractor. 22

31 More than 100 dedicated products AVANT SYSTEM Blowing system with frontal air suction high efficiency fan. This system avoids obstruction by leaves on the fan group and decreases the volume of chemical product during the treatment. TURBOTEUTON TURBOTEUTON is a system that use a combination of air nozzles together with a traditional ceramic nozzle dedicated to the flow of the mix of water and chemical product. Water pressure at the nozzle can reach up to 20 bar. This system can spray slightly larger drops to increase wind or heat resistance during the treatments and to convey more water where required. 31
