2 CATALOGUE OF SALE TO COMMENCE AT 11.15AM M & MA HARRIES, BRYNGOLAU, EGLWYSWRW JJ Morris are pleased to present another opportunity to purchase top quality British Friesian cows at Whitland Mart from Martin and Monica Harries, Bryngolau who have dedicated much of their lives to milking and looking after generation after generation of wonderful cows. The cows are producing well on a low input system of grass and concentrates at milking time only on a hard holding. They are all good in legs and feet and cubicle housed through the winter. There are no official recordings for the animals but the cows are good productive types and the latest bulk tank figures show good reading: Milk Average: 8000kg Butterfat: 4.43% Protein: 3.42% scc: 129 Bacto: 27 These cows will suit any system and would undoubtedly increase production in more intensive units and as seen in the catalogue they are good long lasting cows that will serve well. JJ Morris would like to thank Mr and Mrs Harries for their instructions, and for their loyal custom to JJ through Cardigan Mart over many years and wish them well in all future ventures. Martin and Monica would like to extend their thanks to everyone who has helped at Bryngolau throughout their time and also in the preparations for the sale.

7 Whitland Dairy Herd dispersal 15 th June sale starts at 11.00am Friday, 15 June 2018 Llannewydd Herd 200 head This productive herd of sound milkers developed by the vendors through the use of top class sires with emphasis on type coupled to the ability to perform economically on a grass diet being grazed day and night for as many months as possible. A feature of the sale are the superb milking vessels exhibiting wearability and the ability to produce high yields of milk, fat and protein with low cell counts. This is confirmed by the classification results with several Excellent and Very Good cows produced over the years from good consistent families. Calving all year a good number will be forward in full milk with a group of fresh heifers being a feature whilst several dry and stale milkers alongside a promising group of heifers that will calve in late summer/early autumn providing something for every dairy farmer seeking top class animals that will perform well within any system. Auctioneers Note- this will be one of the best herds to come on the market in South Wales this year being strong cattle with sound bodies, exceptional udder and teat conformation whilst having natural milking ability within a commercially based grass system-a sale not to be missed by anyone seeking sound replacements.
