Manyeki is an economists currently employed by KARI at Kiboko as a Research Officer with over 8 years research experience. Manyeki graduated in Bachelors of Art in economics from the University of Nairobi Kenya in 2001, obtained a Masters of Art degree in economics from the University of Nairobi Kenya in His research focus is mainly on community development in the areas of socioeconomic and agribusiness issues of the peasant farmers. He has a particular interests in adoption and impact assessment (ex-post) of technologies; Prioritization and rationalization of projects within the socio-economic and biometrics division; Collaborate with other research project leaders in programme formulation in order to come up with objectively derived priorities through a participatory process; Ex-ante and ex-post impact assessment in order to determine the potential benefits of proposed projects and the benefit achieved after project has been completed respectively; Monitoring and evaluation of technologies for economic viability and social acceptability; Policy analysis and marketing studies, including analysis of credit provision, input supply and costs, processing, farm-gate price of agricultural products input-output markets and institutional set-ups; and Characterization and diagnosis of constraints/opportunities of various farming systems. He also has adequate knowledge on environmental resource economics especially on environmental impact assessment for project impact evaluation. Of late he is collaborating with biophysical scientist in inputting the socioeconomic issues in the on-going Natural Pasture Improvement project under Kenya Arid and Semi Arid Land Programme (KASAL) and Early Warning and Contingency Plans for Resource Management during Crisis Situations in Pastoral Areas of East and Central Africa under ASARECA.
