The im of the reserch ws to determine the herge yield nd qulity of four ecotypes of Desho grss (Pennisetum pedicelltum) to develop promising ecotypes s registered vrieties for wider use mong livestock producer communities. Rndomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replictions ws employed. The result reveled tht, the gronomic performnce of height, vigor, dry mtter rtio, dry mtter yield in ton per hectre nd dry mtter lef to stem rtio were not differ significntly (P>0.05) etween four Desho grss ecotypes. Even though, the dry mtter yield in ton per hectre ws not differ significntly (P>0.05) etween hrvest, lrge mount of dry mtter yield in ton per hectre of 28.83±2.66 ws produced during second hrvest. Moreover, numericlly high dry mtter in ton per hectre ws produced y the grss lines of Arek-DZF#590 (28.35 ±3.77) nd Kulums-DZF#592 (26.52±3.77). Therefore, ll lines of Desho grsses were well dpted nd performed good under Wondogenet condition nd in similr environments elsewhere in Ethiopi.
