Govt. as the recipient of the lease amount shall be required to pay 25% of the actual lease income or actual license amount or actual auction amount received on the reservoir to NFDB. The total number of fingerlings will be determined based on the effective water area of the reservoir. 39 Study on Supply & Demand Scenario NFDB has entrusted a study with the National Centre for Agricultural Economics & Policy Research, New Delhi: to conduct a study on Supply & demand scenario of fish & fishery products in India To suggest strategies for the development of domestic fish marketing.

Technology Upgradation The scheme for technology upgradation is to address:- the yield gap between on-station trials and farmers ponds; upgrade older technologies being currently adopted by farmers/fishers; refine and adopt technologies which have not been widely disseminated. Human Resource Development Programmes in Fisheries Sector Exposure to the emerging trends in policy and program management in fisheries sector and to visualize the success stories in different parts of the country. Target groups for HRD Field Functionaries at the cutting edge Level Fisheries officials at managerial level Senior officials of the DoF / BFDA / FFDA

46 Training & Demonstration Provision for Training of Farmers would be made from various Institutions such as Facilities of State Fisheries Departments, Ministries of Agriculture, Rural Development, Food Processing Industries, Institutions of ICAR and DAHD & F, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, KVKs, NGOs, CAPART, Fisheries Colleges of State Agricultural Universities and the Central Agricultural University Capacity building of the Officers of the State Fisheries Departments at the MANAGE, Hyderabad; Institutions of ICAR and DAHD & F, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India; and Colleges of Fisheries of State Agricultural Universities and Central Agricultural University, with specially designed courses Disadvantaged Districts identified by the Planning Commission, Govt. of India would be taken on priority, with due consideration to the water resources and fishery potentials

Development of Indigenous Tuna Fishing Fleet Entrepreneurs/ Groups of fishers Contribution: percent of the total cost of construction as equity participation (varying from Rs Rs crores) and the beneficiaries could raise the balance through loan, etc. After one year, the beneficiaries could start repaying the Board s equity in equal instalments or equity participation (25 33 %) in construction of the vessels by the beneficiaries Finalisation of blueprints for different OALs and hull material and other requirements, such as RSW, gear, etc.

Deep Sea Fishing and Tuna Processing Sl No. Activity Eligibility Criteria Eligible Financial Assistance Documents required 2 Human Resource Development Master Trainer for harvest and post harvest activities, Expert for processing sector, Trainees of Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical Engineering and Training (CIFNET). NFDB may cooperate with the CIFNET and the Association of Fishing Industries (AFI), Visakhapatnam to prepare the training calendar and curriculum. The premises of CIFNET and the FSI could be used for training and the CIFNET and the AFI may coordinate on behalf of the NFDB Finalisation of terms and conditions of the master trainer and expert from abroad and their engagement. Finalisation of the training calendar and curriculum for the trainees.

Documents required NFDB may collaborate with Central Institute of Coastal Engineering for Fishery (CICEF), Bengaluru and the AFI, Vizag for preparing a master plan for upgradation of fishing harbours and FLCs on tuna fisheries point of view NFDB may cooperate with CIFT, Integrated Fisheries Project (IFP), Kochi and private sector to prepare blueprint for up gradation, keeping in view of market demand
