1 The Agriculture & Natural Resources pathways have some of the fastest-growing and/or highest wage occupations in California. Some of the career opportunities in this pathway include: agricultural marketing and sales personnel, agricultural engineers, laboratory and research technicians, animal reproduction specialists, environmental scientists, landscape and turf managers, and pest management specialists. By taking courses in the Agriculture & Natural Resources pathways, students will gain real world experiences. These courses will emphasize career awareness, career exploration, and skill preparation in five pathways. Students will gain skills in order to plan and manage their careers as well as become critical thinkers. The curriculum includes laboratory instruction, supervised agricultural experience projects, and leadership and interpersonal skills development. This focused instruction and hands on learning will prepare students for continued training, advanced educational opportunities, and entry into a career.
