11 Previous analysis Almost everything is given for the effective management and control: detailed recording of the data problem solving capabilities of the various subsystems What we need? A computer interpretable technological overview of simplified balances that bridges the gap between the software tools and the field experts motivates the collection and usage of available data helps to use the data in deeper investigations helps to use the data in the higher scale There are still some open questions: utilization of data for the selection of optimal life cycle in lower scale control application of data for the trans-sectorial transparency in higher scale control

24 Conclusions for the ongoing work There might be a gap between the available data & software tools and the farm management. This gap can be bridged by a computer interpretable technological flowsheet that supports the overview of simplified balances. Direct Computer Mapping of process model seems to be a possible solution of this problem. In addition to interfacing role, the process model can contribute to the solution of actual tasks, e.g.: - analysis of milk production of individual cows with various life cycle, and - connecting the system to trans-sectorial transparency
