1 UConn Dairy Farm Technology Tour: Robots and Beyond We are pleased to announce that the University of Connecticut will host a dairy farm technology tour. This tour will bring us through MA, VT and NH touring dairy farms that have adopted robotic milking systems, energy generation, and cow health monitoring technologies, e.g., rumination collars. We will travel by commercial bus visiting 7 farms over 2 days and have speakers addressing the specific nutritional and reproductive management needs of herds with voluntary milking systems. We will be staying overnight in Burlington, VT and enjoy a group dinner. Dates: Thursday, August 6- Friday, August 7, We will meet at the UConn Kellogg Dairy Center at 7AM and travel by commercial bus on Thursday August, 6 and return at 8 PM on Friday August 7. Space is limited: Due to limitations for transportation and farm tours we must limit the participants to 40. Please register early to ensure a space!
