Test conducted by A. E. Coy, M. D. Pippin, R. Brooke, and R. Burton. 1. Yields calculated at 14% moisture. 3. CV = 11.5% and df for EMS = The F-test indicated no statistical differences at the alpha =.10 probability level; therefore, a LSD value was not calculated. Bolding indicates entries yielding equal to highest yielding entry within a column based on Fisher's April 26, August 20, Tifton loamy sand. P = Medium, K = Low, and ph = 6.5. Preplant: 40 lb N, 80 lb P 2 O 5, and 120 lb K 2 O/acre. Sidedress: 50 lb N/acre. Wheat. Subsoiled and bedded; rototilled; Atrazine, Prowl, and 2 cultivations used for weed control; Chlorpyrifos and Karate used for insect control.

2 Tifton, Georgia: Late-Planted Grain Sorghum Hybrid Performance, 2004 Nonirrigated Grain sorghum hybrids were late-planted at this location on June 18, However, extensive damage from three major tropical storms (hurricanes Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne) caused lodging, seed sprouting in the head, and very low yields; thus considerable variation in performance among hybrids within the test. After careful analysis and review of this data, it is the opinion of the editors that the results of this trial may not accurately reflect the performance potential of all test entries. Since this data could be misleading if used in making decisions concerning variety selection, we have chosen not to present them in this publication. June 18, October 21, Tifton loamy sand.
