This is so we can educate people of all ages and all walks of life in these methods and expose people to possibilities with recycling, doing value- driven business and using creative and well researched alternative product. We have an inventive team, dedicated to complete the infrastructure projects. This special project is the culmination of several people s varied and broad careers. 5EyesFarm is emerging as an organic farm specialising in integrated farming methods, using various systems like Our Purpose: To produce highquality organic food, using integrated farming systems, to provide practical education and empower communities.!1

2 Animal farm The larger goal is to exhibit the present the various areas of the farm and its projects as models. These models can be reproduced in small-scale for homes, apartments, offices etc. Aquaponics, for example, can be reproduced for indoor or outdoor use and can be compact units and still produce well. We also hope to teach present and future generations to love healthy organic food, to cook and prepare and store food, to make compost, to plant seedlings, to recycle through creative reuse. We will conduct seminars, workshops and experiences around these areas as we see the use technology and alternatives for contemporary agricultural practice move with the wave of transition that is ahead. Chickens produce eggs and meat. Goats produce milk, butter, cheese, yogurt. Ducks produce eggs and meat. Rabbits produce meat. They all produce composts for specific purposes. They are all fed from our own organic food stock.!2

3 WHERE ARE WE? At the foothills of Gunung Salak, an extinct volcano 15 KM South West of Bogor Botanical Gardens. 5Eyes is a small but busy organic farm on the edge of a Sundanese Village just after Dramaga. We recommend travelling early on Saturday/Sunday - Leaving Jakarta by 7am or leaving Bogor by 8 am means you miss the bulk of the traffic heading to Puncak. The journey from Bogor can be quite smooth early on the weekend mornings.!3

5 WHAT S TO SEE? We are creating electricity from the river using a water wheel. It is wonderful! Other innovations include building the roof of the storehouse with recycled tyres. We have used tyres in infrastructure, retaining walls, bed edges, fences and windows.!5

6 Recycled plastic bottles filled with waste plastic are all used to build garden walls. This helps clean up the area of small waste plastic and creates a colourful and solid wall. Our large-scale aquaponics test phase one is underway. The whole system won't be functioning until next year. Meanwhile, we have 4 tanks with 12 beds to work with and the fish are in. It will take some time until the (nitrogen) cycle is established correctly and we are growing food in the aquaponics.!6

7 The most beautiful organic farm with raised beds and over 60 varieties of plant life growing. These include herbs and spices, medicinal herbs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, flowers, some exotic and imported strains. We are a work in progress. Nothing is quite finished. But already when people visit which has been happening a great deal, they are blown away by the whole thing and by many individual parts of it specifically. We welcome you to visit. We offer farm tours and you can sign up for one. We are creating a small warung so you can take refreshments with us and experience some of our food preparation and taste real organic produce.
