7 Matir Katha: Module 1 Agri Question & Answer: Farmers questions are getting captured with images + Text description in local language, sent to Agri experts from field. Answer given at portal reaches to the Tablet via 3G SIM in minimum possible time. SMS alert goes to all stakeholders. Right solution at right time, minimizes crop loss and ensures better return to Farmers.

Newly invented farm technology can be transferred to farmers quickly

10 Matir Katha: Module 4 & 5 Paperless Departmental Notification: Entire communication from HQ to GP can now be Paperless. Senders need not even remember ID. Secured through state data centre. Project/ Scheme MIS: Block level reporting through Portal to generate MIS for different schemes on real time basis

This will give optimal recommendation and save both cost and environment Modern Agri Dictionary: Field staff and farmers get to learn terminologies of modern agriculture through this searchable Dictionary in local language

Wrong problem description from distance led to various miscommunication. Today ADAs can give exact & correct solutions based on actual image & description of the problem.

23 Department of Agriculture Text-To-Speech (TTS) Solution: Process Flow KPS submits farmers query through tab Answers given by designated official Farmer receives SMS and call Toll free number TTS software reads the answer for farmer Farmer listen as many times as required Farmer SMS/ forward solution to others Farmers can raise all kinds of query from his field. All problems are not necessarily identified at source and solutions are not necessarily pre-recorded at server. This solution can reach to any type of mobile (Any make, Any OS, Any standard of phone, with or without Data connectivity)

24 Department of Agriculture Touch Screen Kiosk: Sample Kiosk Video & Web Conferencing: 3G Touch screen kiosks will be placed at accessible points (ADA Office/ Panchayat office) with image based solution App. This would be developed for a seamless integration and Distance meetings between DOA HQ to Districts and Districts to Blocks.

25 Department of Agriculture A. Since the Application is Ready and Tested, it can be quickly replicated in other states Replication of Matir Katha in other states B. As basic Application Architecture is ready, Replication in other states would need Customization in Local language and Data population C. Tablet PCs are being provided under NeGP-A for all states, hence upfront investment in hardware would be less D. Matir Katha Application is built entirely on Open Source Software, so cost of implementation is moderate
