(more than 1 answer Please describe the sectors targeted and for when they are planned. 2. Planning, governance and coordination Finnish Safety and Chemicals agency coordinates the National Action Plan on the sustainable use of pesticides. IPM is a part of the NAP. We have no national programmes on IPM, but IPM is a part of the NAP (Section 4.10). ne We have no national programmes on IPM, but some shortterm research and demonstration projects, which are regional and/or crop-specific. We have a national decree on general principles of IPM, setting general borderlines on IPM. Crop/sector specific projects e.g. on cereals and horticulture in the open. Project fundings mainly for In which areas have you planned research on IPM to promote its development? (more than 1 answer Pest monitoring and/or decision support systems

2 If possible, please provide a short summary of the programs. We have no national research programmes, which would define the research visions on IPM. MTT Agrifood Researh Finland is surveying crop-specific research information related to IPM (IPM matrix). The result will show information gaps within IPM research and after that, IPM research will be focused on research areas, which need more information. Surveying started in 2013 and will continue through IPM matrix is a joint project of three different IPM projects. Finland participates also in the C-IPM EraNet project. Pest monitoring and/or decision support systems: Plant Protection Society KSS ry and MTT Agrifood Research Finland are developing an internet knowledge portal on IPM (IPM tietoalusta). Work started in Portal will provide user interfaces for professional users, advisors, authorities etc. Information will be gathered interactively from different user groups. Portal will serve as a decision support system for professional users, giving information on pests, threshold values and different control stategies etc. The project is applying for money at the moment In which areas do you intend to plan research on IPM to promote its development? (more than 1 answer Please describe others. We will have research projects on IPM, but the goal setting is dependent on funding. EraNet C-IPM has started and it will clarify the research need in the near future Have all concerned parties been duly informed on the obligation to apply Integrated Pest Management (IPM) general principles by January 2014? 3.
