4 A history A history Our history relates back to the latter part of the 19th century when the first spice contract was written. Ever since, the company has been an active participant and trend leader. We are proud to be at the forefront of developments in our business such as setting the trend for processing in origin countries and cultivating sustainable spices. Today Nedspice Group companies serve over 250 customers worldwide in supplying a full range of processed spices and dehydrated ingredients. We have a well-developed system of procurement and processing at source. Besides that we have the ability to ship and deliver mixed containers on a justin-time basis and are experienced in the handling of logistics, warehousing and distribution. Globally Nedspice employs 400 employees. Nedspice Sourcing BV Nedspice Sourcing BV is the commercial centre of the operations of Nedspice. Its involvement in spices finds its origin in the trade with Indonesia during the second half of the 19th century. The company is well introduced and enjoys an excellent relationship with all spice industries in consuming markets of Europe, North America, Africa and the Far East. Nedspice Sourcing BV employs a staff of 16 dedicated employees in the areas of commerce, traffic and accounting. The company handles some 16,000 tons of spice ingredients per annum which makes it one of the large marketers of added value spices in the world. The products sold are purchased from other Nedspice Group owned companies in India and Vietnam or from approved 3rd party suppliers. The company has distribution facilities in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Nedspice US Nedspice has been doing business in the USA since many decades already. Supplying spices to a wide range of customers serviced from the office of Nedspice Sourcing BV in the Netherlands. Now these sales activities are brought together under the name of Nedspice US. Nedspice US keeps office in South Carolina and works with designated distribution warehouses in New Jersey, Wisconsin and California. A full range of spices, dehydrated ingredients and specialty products are offered in full container loads or pallet sized. Sourcing is done from Nedspice s company owned facilities or from 3rd party suppliers who have successfully passed Nedspice s QC/QA and traceability standard.
