In order for us to not dmge our equipment nd crete mulch tht is both environmentlly friendly nd Vic Rods complint, the source mteril must be free of: MDF / Fibre Bord CCA / ACQ Treted Pine Msonite / Melmine Metl hrdwre lrger thn 3mm Lminted Chipbord/Prticle Bord Plstic, crdbord, pper nd other generl rubbish Smrt Recycling hs creted this guide to: Communicte the sites terms nd conditions in reltion to contminted lods Help you identify the types of timber lods tht cn nd cnnot be recycled Provide n explntion s to why these re unsuitble timbers for mulching Timber disposl terms nd conditions To protect the integrity of both our equipment nd the products mnufctured by Smrt Recycling we hve developed the following timber disposl terms nd conditions: Lods contining ny of the items listed in the timber not ccepted section of this document will incur contmintion surchrge bsed on the disposl cost of the items in question. Any bdly contminted lods will not be ccepted Dmge to mulching equipment cused by metl found in lods will result in repir costs, being pssed onto those responsible for the contminted wste

5 CCA / ACQ Treted Pine Common uses: Fencing, pergols, cubbies, grden sleepers, vine-yrd posts Reson for non-complince: Treted Pine contins toxic chemicls tht cn lech into the environment when this mteril is mulched. Must go to lndfill in order to be disposed of sfely

7 Generl Rubbish such s crdbord, pper, plstic When rubbish is mixed in with lods of timber wste, the contminnts must be removed before mulching. One piece of plstic going through the mulching mchine cn become 1000 s of smll pieces mking it unsuitble for use.

8 Timber Accepted Smrt Recycling ccepts the following: Timber pllets, boxes or crtes constructed with screws or nils Clen builders timber wste Fencing timber - untreted only

9 Also note: Het Treted (HT) or Methyl Bromide (MB) re cceptble treted timbers becuse CCA or ACQ chemicls re not used. The HT & MB tretments re used to exterminte living bugs or termites. This is globl phytosnitry requirement for ll importing countries. This process does not contin ny toxic chemicls tht cn lech in to the environment. These products re stmped, see exmples below.
