5 Beef Breed Project You will research a breed of cattle and put together an advertisement for your breed. You can use a variety of ways of presenting this information, but you should make sure that the advertisement includes the following information: Breed Origin Breed Characteristics (ex. Mothering breed, polled, muscle definition, color, etc) Interesting facts about the breed Purpose the animal is raised for Production locations You may use a variety of resources, including the internet and books, to compile your breed advertisement. This is a GROUP project. You will be working in groups of 4. The breed you will be researching is the Grading Rubric Breed Origin 3 Excellent 2 Good 1 Fair 0 Poor Breed Characteristics At least 2 interesting facts about the breed in addition to the Breed characteristics. Production locations are included. At least 1 full-color photo is included. Student uses appropriate volume, pitch, intonation, and eye contact while presenting advertisement to class. Student is able to address questions asked by the teacher and class in a professional manner. Student is attentive to other students while they are presenting and also asks questions of students after their advertisements. Project is in the form of an advertisement (ex: magazine ad, TV ad, jingle, website) x3 = 9 total points Turned in copy of advertisement is neat, free of spelling errors, and pleasing to the eye.
