WHO ARE WE? WORLD CLASS MEETINGS & CONFERENCES ELRIG is a UK-based not-for-profit organisation. We are a leader in scientific meetings and conferences, bringing together experts from industry, academic and biopharma experts and thought leaders to exchange ideas and information. Our events are tailored to address the changing needs of the drug discovery and life science communities and can now be found throughout the UK and in multiple countries across Europe. Our flagship event, Drug Discovery, has attracted over 1,300 delegates in previous years, making it the biggest conference of its kind in Europe. OUR MISSION ELRIG was founded based on the use and broad applications of automation, robotics and instrumentation in life science laboratories. Today, we have grown and now cover a broad range of science and technology areas including drug discovery, assay development and screening, high throughput technologies, diagnostics and biomarkers, and bioinformatics. Our scientific meetings and conferences highlight the newest research and state-of-theart technology advancement sacross a broad range of scientific disciplines. To support our open access claims, we provide free-of-charge delegate access to all ELRIG meetings. HIGH IMPACT NETWORKING EVENTS Over 7,000 members across UK & Europe Delegates from academia and biopharma Multi-track scientific sessions Poster presentations Technology forums Vendor exhibitions Job fairs UNPARALLELED SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMS Drug Discovery Assay Development & Screening Robotics & Automation Recombinant Protein Technology Flow Cytometry & Imaging Next Generation Sequencing Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine Diagnostics & Biomarkers Mass Spectrometry More recently, we have responded to the needs of biopharma by developing scientific programs that focus on cutting-edge research areas like primary cell models and phenotypic screening that have the potential to revolutionize drug discovery. OUR EVENTS We believe that meetings and conferences should be accessible to all. In order to meet our open access claims, we provide free-ofcharge access to all delegates and aim to cover the cost of staging our events through the contributions of the exhibitors and sponsors. We also support an open policy of collaboration with other well-established and respected professional societies to add both breadth and depth to our offering.

Research & Innovation TRENT VINEYARD, NOTTINGHAM 23 rd March #ELRIGRI16 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW The theme of the conference is Back to Biology. This single day, multi-track meeting will bring together world class speakers and leading industry experts who will discuss the challenges and opportunities in developing and applying new thinking across biology to improve the success of drug discovery. Two main areas of focus will be Cell Biology & Biologics and presentations will explore how to apply new innovations in these fields to improve the success of drug discovery. This conference will be organized into three tracks: Biopharmaceutical Agents, Stem Cell Biology, and Synthetic Biology. We are expanding the conference meeting this year to include a complementary technology symposium called Innovation in Mass Spectrometry. CONFERENCE DIRECTORS Mark Wigglesworth Director High Throughput Screening AstraZeneca, Alderley Park Mike Jowett Manager, Product Support, Illumina PLENARY KEYNOTE PRESENTATION Stephen Ward COO, Cell Therapy Catapult

Robotics & Automation FESTO, NORTHAMPTON 4 th May #ELRIGRA16 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW The Research & Automation meeting, located at the innovative FESTO Applied Automation UK headquarters in Northampton, will focus on the components and technologies used in laboratory automation applications. This single day, single track meeting provides a unique opportunity to hear about the latest advances in automation and network with colleague and suppliers to discuss the latest trends. This conference is ideal for researchers in life sciences laboratories and who want to learn more about automation and would benefit from the implementation of these technologies. The scientific programme will cover a diverse range of topics including software for the automated process (control & data), robotic and process simulation and automation tools (vision and transportation). A tour of the facility will also be provided as well as a sneak peak at some of the latest FESTO innovations. CONFERENCE DIRECTORS Paul Harper Associate Principal Scientist Screening Sciences, AstraZeneca, Alderley Park Malcolm Crook Director, PAA Paul Kendall Business Development Manager, FESTO Ltd

Recombinant Protein Technology ASTRAZENECA, M LNDAL, SWEDEN 8 th - 9 th June #ELRIGRPT16 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW The Recombinant Protein Technology meeting will be held for a second time at the AstraZeneca campus in Gothenburg, Sweden. The meeting will focus on the latest advances in technologies for the design and production of recombinant proteins used as biotherapeutics and as reagents in drug discovery. In particular, the conference will focus on the biology of existing host (with respect to their competency for protein expression) and how both host cell and desired proteins may be engineered to generate new systems for enhanced product expression. During this two day conference, researchers from top academic and industrial laboratories will discuss the current understanding of molecular events that determine quality and productivity and the use of specific cell hosts for particular types of protein product. Presentations will cover developments in the following crucial areas in meeting future demands for recombinant proteins in drug discovery: host cell factories, genome editing, and protein engineering: novel proteins and peptide. CONFERENCE DIRECTORS Alan Dickson Professor of Biotechnology Director, Centre of Excellence in BioPharmaceuticals Co-Director, BioProNET Manchester University Katy Gearing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Robert Roth Associate Principal Scientist, AstraZeneca, Mölndal

Drug Discovery ACC, LIVERPOOL 13th - 14th October #ELRIGDD16 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW The 10th Anniversary celebration of Drug Discovery will be held this year in Liverpool at the Echo Arena and will once again will bring together the leading lights in drug discovery research across pharma, biotech, academia and the vendor community. The meeting will feature over 50 invited speakers in 6 main session tracks, each highlighting the latest scientific breakthroughs and new approaches that are driving this success. Scientific tracks will cover therapeutic areas (e.g. oncology & immunotherapy), innovative technologies (e.g. assay development, screening, chemistry), and target progression challenges (e.g. target identification/validation, translational models). New to this year, we also introduce a track where ground breaking developments in the use of cells as biological tools and therapeutics will be discussed.
