FUE Clinical Advantage

FUE Clinical Advantage Efficient harvesting. SmartGraft is a closed harvesting system which means the grafts are extracted and stored at the same time and are kept cold and moist. By automating many manual steps, treatment times are significantly reduced. Grafts get transplanted quicker. It also reduces operator and patient fatigue having to stay in one position for hours more. The device counts the amount of grafts (actuated by footswitch) New Punch Technology - Minimum penetration - using the principles of fluid dynamics and suction for a gentle clean extraction. Programmable Protocols & Advantage Reduced potential graft trauma - less manual manipulation (use of forceps) of each graft.

FUE Patient Advantage

FUE Patient Advantage SmartGraft FUE Technology allows the physician to harvest and preserves the donor hair more efficiently than any other system available, and does it in less time. All the benefits of a non-invasive procedure: Minimally invasive office procedure No scalpel, no sutures No linear scar Little discomfort Significantly reduced treatment times Reduced fatigue Quick recovery time Patients do not have to shave their whole head

Other Punches During the manual, motorized, or robotic FUE method, the punch must reach deep down to the level of the bulb to be extracted by forceps. If the punch is not perfectly aligned with the hair follicle, the bulb may be transected.

SmartGraft Punches With the SmartGraft AFUE technique, the vacuum forms a seal and then extracts the rest of the graft reducing the risk of transection.

SmartGraft Punches The SmartGraft punches are available in two designs, male and female. Male, beveled on the outside and sharp on the inside and female, sharp on the outside, beveled on the inside. Each is designed to reduce the depth of penetration while gently pushing the follicle(s) towards the center of the punch.

Automated Minimally-Invasive FUE Harvesting

Significant Reduction in Treatment Time Smart Punches More efficient, less penetration, fluid dynamic Smart Lightweight Handpiece - reduction in breaks needed due to fatigue Graft Collection & Storage with graft counter and controlled environment, graft misted or bathed in desired temperature Based on the calculation of the time savers above, SmartGraft can reduce the amount of harvesting time by about one third over other motorized, automated and robotic FUE systems.

Automated FUE Method Shave Donor Site Short Hair Patient It is not necessary to get a buzz cut for this procedure. The donor portion of a patient with longer hair can be camouflaged by making narrower shaved areas.

FUE Donor Site Post-Op Immediately Post-Op 2 days 14 Days The significant advantage of the FUE procedure is the lack of a linear scar. The tiny harvest sites close 50% in size within 24 hours and can be completely undetectable within a weeks time, depending on the quality of hair in the donor area. Eventually, when the surrounding hair reaches a certain length (approximately 8mm) the area is completely natural looking.

The Artistry of Hair Line Design

The aesthetic hairline shape for each patient is determined with the angle, orientation and position of each transplanted hair in order to produce a 100% natural result
