3 DOLPH s Resins and Varnishes 3 Impregnion Dipping Dipping is the most common impregnion process for any kind of low-voltage electrical merial, such as motors, generors or transformers. It is highly versile and seems very easy. Nevertheless, the resin choice is always highly critical due to environmental constraints (smell, fire risks, irrition, toxicity and more) process issues (stability, viscosity, reactivity, productivity and more) and the ultime technical properties (thermal class, chemical resistance, electrical properties, bonding strength and more). 4 4 DOLPH s Resins and Varnishes Vacuum Pressure Impregnion (VPI) VPI (vacuum pressure impregnion) is mainly used when penetrion and filling factor of the resin has to be improved. Dolph s proposes a large choice of resins and varnishes, solvent based as well as solvent free which can suit any process and properties. 5 DOLPH s Resins and Varnishes 5 Impregnion Trickling & Roll Through Trickling and roll-through processes are more convenient when high productivity is required on standard little/medium motors and generors sizes. These two processes allow higher resin filling factor with less resin usage. Due to hot processes the resin quality maintenance has to be carefully managed. Dolph s has developed and optimized a complete range of resins th combine safety, quality and fast processing.
