2 The Perfect Mixture of Safety and Effi ciency Magnetic Mixing Technology The AWH magnetically driven mixer is designed for applications with the most stringent demands in terms of safety and sterility. A magnetic coupling eliminates the risks associated with conventional shaft grommets, such as leaks and contamination. All the functions are monitored continuously by a sensor, and can be read off and documented directly by a monitoring unit. Process Reliability The fully encapsulated sensor system on the enables continuous monitoring, regulation and data collection for the mixing process. Thanks to the compact and ergonomic design, all this data can be viewed at any time. Maximum product reliability is guaranteed by the unrestricted monitoring of the most important information relating to the mixing process, such as the position of the mixer head, the speed, the direction of rotation and data on any production-related downtimes. Protection against Micro-organisms The antibacterial coating on the offers maximum protection against bacterial growth.

3 3 Product Safety The drive unit and mixer head are connected by a magnetic coupling. This prevents leaks and contamination. The integrity of the tank and the product are not in danger at any time. Adaptable Design The is available in two axis lengths to allow work in insulated tanks. Intelligent Motor Bracket The effi cient motors can be swiveled through 360 to be positioned as required. This makes them suitable for use in any production situation. Smooth Surfaces No protruding bolts or screws on the transmission or the tank fi xtures. The resulting smooth surfaces are easy to clean. Flexible Sensor Positioning The sensor can be positioned around on the drive unit. This improves safety and ensures that the sensor is visible at all times.

The magnetic actuator almost completely eliminates all shear forces and allows full tank drainage during ongoing operation. The mixer head has ceramic bearings, and is characterized by low shear forces and its ability to run dry with zero problems. This means no product residue, gentle mixing even with small quantities of product, and no risk when draining the tank during a mixing operation. The open design of the mixer head makes for any easy cleaning procedure that uses a minimum of water, produces much less wastewater and requires very little time. This ensures that mixing is carried out gently without damaging the product, even at high speeds.

5 5 Zero Contamination Risk The zero-vibration ceramic bearing, which is made using zirconium dioxide and silicon carbide, is chemically inert, certifi ed to USP class VI and almost completely frictionless. This makes a product contamination impossible. No Maintenance Required The bearing pins are made from a single piece of material, and the bearing bushings have no seals, so they require no maintenance at all. Full Traceability Every component is marked with an individual identifi cation number to allow transparency and traceability back to all the raw materials used to make the unit. Reliable Cleaning The open design of the mixing head allows easy access with all types of cleaning equipment and agents. This ensures that no residue is left after cleaning, especially when using steam, overheated water or autoclaving. As such, there is nothing stopping you from getting reproducible results using an automated cleaning process. This will help to reduce your consumption of ultrapure water and your generation of wastewater, while also reducing plant downtimes and saving you a huge amount of time.

6 The aseptic Connection for Tanks AWH-Connect A Clean Solution AWH-Connect is the aseptic and hygienic connection for your tanks. It is designed to comply with the strict requirements of the pharmaceutical, biotechnological and food industries. Using AWH-Connect will enable you to eliminate or minimize dead space in tanks. AWH-Connect combines the standard seal of a clamp connection as defi ned by standards such as DIN or ASME-BPE with the advantages of a block fl ange, which is welded into the wall of the tank. This allows you to connect a component to a container fl ush to the wall, close to the product and, above all, without any dead space. 7 7 AWH-Lid A Tailor-Made Entrance P22 Pressure Dome Lid Stainless steel tank lids are tried-and-tested sealing components in the production of silo tanks, process tanks, sterile tanks and pressure vessels. Their main areas of use include the food and beverage industry and the pharmaceutical industry. These tank lids differ from conventional flange connections, as their design enables rapid opening and closing. Robust hinges are used in place of the established clamping elements, and ensure that the cover is always centered during closing. P31 sterile, non-pressurized Dome Lid with Double Clip The non-pressurized tank lids are supplemented by the pressure dome covers, which are in turn divided into different pressure levels. The pressure levels are dependent on the operating pressure, the temperature and other loads (e.g. an agitator). The sections that come into contact with media are made from the material (316L). In addition to the standard surfaces, we can also offer a wide range of qualities for internal and external surfaces.
