15 In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) What is IVD? Non-invasive tests performed on biological samples, such as blood, urine or tissue, to diagnose, monitor or rule out a disease. In vitro diagnostic products include reagents, instruments, and systems that are used in the diagnosis of diseases, among other things. These products are used in the collection, preparation, and examination of specimens taken from the human body.

Disorders or disturbances of any of these factors may result in bleeding or thrombosis, which can be associated with significant clinical adverse events.

Autoimmunity occurs when the body's immune system fails to recognize itself, resulting in antibodies to be directed against the body's own tissues (autoantibodies).
