Our main business is IVD (Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, and Autoimmunity), and we also work in the Medical Devices field. Every day, more than 1.5 million patient samples are tested with our IVD solutions.

15 In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) What is IVD? Non-invasive tests performed on biological samples, such as blood, urine or tissue, to diagnose, monitor or rule out a disease. In vitro diagnostic products include reagents, instruments, and systems that are used in the diagnosis of diseases, among other things. These products are used in the collection, preparation, and examination of specimens taken from the human body.

22 IVD Main Areas of Focus What is Hemostasis? The balance of the interaction between blood coagulation proteins, platelets and the vessel walls, which maintains blood flow. Disorders or disturbances of any of these factors may result in bleeding or thrombosis, which can be associated with significant clinical adverse events.

Autoimmunity occurs when the body's immune system fails to recognize itself, resulting in antibodies to be directed against the body's own tissues (autoantibodies).
