3 Six emergency appeals International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, IFRC, launched six emergency appeals to respond to EVD outbreaks in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Senegal. Still active: Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone + regional coordination and technical support The appeals have been revised towards recovery, currently planned to end in December 2017 (incl. food security, livelihoods and Disaster Risk Reduction).

4 Preparedness Smaller preparedness and response operations were financed by the IFRC Disaster Response Emergency Fund (DREF) in Mali, Cote d Ivoire, Cameroon, Togo, enin, Central African Republic, Chad, Gambia, Kenya, Guinea issau and Ethiopia. In total, 16 countries in Africa launched emergency operations relating to this outbreak.

Professional aid workers from Finnish Red Cross aid worker reserve; 32 missions to Sierra Leone (40 in total in EVD operations) Logistics and IT Emergency Response Units to Kono Funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland ,2 million euros + public funds raised ~ EUR
