30 Actions to be taken for improving IT performances 1) Increase the number of successful coordinated RIA and IA proposals via: a) providing information on the main criticisms recorded in the IT coordinated proposals below threshold or in the waiting list, and b) tailored meetings with coordinators who passed the first stage evaluation. 2) Improving IT participation in the BLUE GROWTH call via: a) tailored meetings with the stakeholders of the sector, and b) exploitation of existing IT networks (i.e., BLUEMED initiative, RITMARE, National Cluster on Trasporti, etc). 3) Increase successful participation in CSA proposals via: a) tailored meetings with the stakeholders of the sectors, and b) the exploitation of existing IT networks (i.e., National Clusters, Technology platforms, Regions and Industrial associations etc).

34 Implementation through calls for proposals As in Horizon 2020, evaluation and selection are made on the basis of excellence, impact and quality, and efficiency of the implementation. Annual calls for proposals 2014 Call (50 M): 16 topics, 38 proposals (4 from IT), 11 projects funded (1 coordinated by IT; about 20 M) 2015 Calls (1st call 100 M for 3 Flagships; 2 nd call 106 M for RIA, IA, DEMO, CSA) The calls are published on the Research Participant Portal and follows the standard Horizon 2020 rules.

41 Actions to be taken for improving IT performances 1) Increase IT members of BIC (from the public and private sectors) of the BBI JU; 2) Increase the IT participation in the BBI JU calls via: a) improving information on the calls via events and APRE networking tools; b) tailored meetings on the new WPs.
