2 FROM THE HEART OF PYRENEES Matrix was founded by S&P Group in Ripoll in 1974 in the heart of Pyrenees Ripoll is located just 80 minutes driving from Barcelona, region well known for its history, gastronomy, nature and mountains where you can enjoy the entire year whether hiking through the valleys or skiing during winter time. Matrix is a company with extension of 4.300m 2, capacity hours per year and entirely climate-controlled, dedicated to designing and manufacturing high precision injection moulds and the staff is composed by 65 members. 6 ENGINEERING Our Engineers who works for you and with you, can develop customized concepts according to your needs, they will prepare feasibility studies for each separate project in order to identify the advantages of various different solutions. The layout and design work is carried out with highperformance 3D-CAD/CAM systems by Unigraphics NX and also Solid Edge. They are also fully familiar with special engineering task such as filling simulations and finite element calculations using Moldex 3D software.

7 PRODUCTION Matrix Moulds are key factors in ensuring maximum productivity. Knowing that, the cavities in Matrix Moulds are interchangeable which is your guarantee of reliable production. We work for you on a three-shift basis with flexible, automated manufacturing cells. 8 QUALITY DEPARTMENT During mould manufacturing time, our quality department assure the steel dimensions of all the cavities and stacks in order to meet your expectations in terms of cavities equivalence and process consistency. On the other hand, our quality team will also measure the final parts produced during the mould trials providing to you the full dimensional report using the most advanced CMM and quick vision equipment.

9 INJECTION MOULD TRIALS After production and assembly, we carry out your mould trials to make sure it functions perfectly at maximum level. We have at Matrix our own injection moulding machines with clamping forces from 80t to 400t, with 1, 2 and 3 injection units capable to develop 3-components projects. We also have a dedicated space to plan the installation of your machine and all related to the project, which give you the chance and also the confidence grade that your new production unit will be tested under your process conditions. The main benefit to you is the reduced commissioning time at your works.

10 OUR TECHNOLOGIES In the wide-ranging field of mould making for packaging industry, we are your innovative partner. One of our specialties is In Mould Assembly & Over-moulding 2&3-components, beneficial application to reduce the additional equipment, human factor, deformations and possible contaminations. Another highlight is our own closing system for flip tops ensuring the most efficient cycle time. Some of MATRIX s most recent developments include a flip top 2-components 24cav mould with IMC below 10 seconds cycle time
