2 technology Development in Indonesia ~ Several researches related to nanotechnology were carried out in various research institutes and universities. No formal link was established between these activities. The State Ministry of Research and Technology started to identify the nanotechnology research activities. Indonesian Society for was established, an organization to build network between researchers across universities and research institutes The State Ministry of Research and Technology started to allocate funding for special topic of research in nanotechnology Together with Indonesian Society for, The State Ministry of Research and Technology envisioned a roadmap of nanotechnology for supporting national Industry. The nanotechnology standardization discussion was initiated by National standardization body 2010 center for agricultural application was initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture. technology has become an important issue in research National standardization body of Indonesia issued some standardization related to technology.

14 Summary technology has gained increasing interests in both research and industrial sectors. Even though there is no specific National nanotechnology policy and framework, but the issue has become more important and vital. technology based products are already available in Indonesian market. Indonesia needs to anticipate growth of nanotechnology commercialization by establishment of certification system. The supporting infrastructures of evaluation and assessment body (certification body, testing laboratory, etc) are required. The National Accreditation Body is currently preparing nanotechnology product certification system. Indonesia should be involved more actively in International level.
