Mastery of advanced statistical methods (including general linear models, multivariate analyses, structural equation modeling) and knowledge of the R statistical environment. First-authored papers in leading IF journals in the field of microbial ecology, plant ecology, plant-microbe interactions, biostatistics or bioinformatics For more information about the position Nr. 1, please contact mentor Petr Baldrian (baldrian@biomed.cas.cz). Nr. 2 Post-transcriptional control of gene expression The Laboratory of Post-transcriptional Control of Gene Expression is looking for a motivated postdoctoral fellow. Successful candidate will be engaged in one of the major projects running in the Laboratory focused on post-transcriptional control of gene expression mediated by noncoding srnas and RNA chaperone Hfq. Research group currently identifies factors required for successful infection and persistence of current clinical isolates of Bordetella pertussis, a strictly human pathogen causing whooping cough. In addition to transcriptomics, proteomics will be also applied for identification of biomarkers responsible for pathogenesis of whooping cough. We offer the work in an international team of the Laboratory of Post-transcriptional Control of Gene Expression (laboratory head: Branislav Vecerek) of the Institute of Microbiology in Prague, Czech Republic (see e.g. ) closely collaborating with several laboratories abroad (Vienna, Lille).
