5 Read BioTek offers an extensive range of microplate readers, from the Synergy NEO HTS Mlti-Mode Microplate Reader to the ELx800, a basic ELISA reader sed in tens of thosands of laboratories arond the globe. Inclded in the BioTek reader prodct range are Hybrid readers, mlti-mode readers, florometers, lminometers and a variety of both monochromator-based spectrophotometers and filter-based absorbance readers. For assays like ncleic acid and protein qantification, where very small sample size is critical, BioTek s Take3 Micro-Volme Plate offers the ability to measre mltiple samples as small as 2 µl in monochromator-based mlti-mode and absorbance readers. Many microplate readers come with the powerfl Gen5 Data Analysis Software and are compatible with BioStack atomation prodcts and many third-party integrators, to provide increased throghpt and nattended operation. 5

6 Synergy NEO HTS Mlti-Mode Microplate Reader Synergy NEO is an HTS mltimode microplate reader designed specifically for today s screening and core laboratories. NEO is BioTek s newest advancement in detection technology; it has all the featres expected in an HTS screening instrment, inclding mltiple parallel detectors for ltra-fast measrements, a dedicated filter-based system for live cell assays, and exqisite performance. High Throghpt Synergy NEO can read a 96-well plate in 6 seconds and a 384-well plate in 11 seconds. With a load/ nload plate transfer time of abot 6 seconds per plate, NEO s optional integrated plate stacker makes this the fastest combination on the market, allowing walk-away atomation of short- or long-term assays. 8 Synergy H4 Hybrid Mlti-Mode Microplate Reader Synergy H4 is BioTek s most versatile mlti-mode reader, and part of BioTek s patent pending Hybrid reader category, combining monochromator and filter-based wavelength selection in one instrment. Its niqe featres inclde wavelength scanning, variable bandpass selection for increased flexibility, extended incbation range to 65ºC for high-temperatre assays and Alpha detection mode. 10 Synergy H1 Hybrid Mlti-Mode Microplate Reader Synergy H1 is part of BioTek s Hybrid reader category; eqipped with both monochromator and filter optical systems. Synergy H1 provides the same combination of flexibility and performance as the Synergy H4, at a very attractive price. An optional reagent injection system is available. Flexibility at a Great Price Synergy H1 is available in a monochromator-only configration. Spporting top and bottom florescence, UV-visible absorbance and lminescence, it is the most cost-effective soltion of its type on the market. Combined with the Take3 Micro- Volme Plate for low volme 2 µl assays, it is the perfect instrment for life-science research laboratories. Patent pending Hybrid Optical System The optional filter modle can trn the Synergy H1 into an advanced Hybrid reader. This patent pending optical design is only available from BioTek. 12 Synergy Mx Mlti-Mode Microplate Reader Monochromator-based instrments provide ease of se and flexibility, covering a broad range of applications ot of the box. Synergy Mx can be eqipped with the following modlar options: UV-visible absorbance, top florescence, bottom florescence, lminescence, and cvette port and reagent injection system. Ultra Fine-Tned Performance The Synergy Mx is flly monochromator-based, providing wavelength selection with a qadrple grating architectre for ncompromised flexibility. Any assay from the low UV to the near infrared may be atomated on this reader, withot ever needing a new filter. Qadrple Monochromator Optics Both excitation and emission monochromators se a dal grating architectre. This design provides a very niform performance across the spectrm, withot jmps associated with filter-grating designs. Variable Bandpass Selection System Each monochromator is eqipped with for software-selectable slits to vary the excitation and emission bandpass. This adds flexibility to the system: a narrow band pass can be sed for mltiplexed assays, and wider bandpass can be sed to maximize sensitivity. Cvette Port and Temperatre Control to 65ºC These additional featres and options expand the application range of the instrment. 14 Synergy 2 Mlti-Mode Microplate Reader The Synergy 2 has been designed for life science research and drg discovery applications. It incorporates enhanced florescence, lminescence and absorbance optics for sperior performance. Advanced read modes sch as florescence polarization and time-resolved florescence are available as individal, pgradeable modles. An optional reagent injection system is available. Best Price / Performance Ratio The Synergy 2 incorporates dedicated, optimized optical paths for each detection mode sing filters for florescence and a monochromator for absorbance. The reslt is excellent performance in all modes, at an attractive price. Sensitive Dichroic-based Florescence Optics The Synergy 2 florescence optics are a step p from the Synergy HT, incorporating dichroic mirrors, which decrease backgrond noise, as well as a liqid-filled emission fiber that increases the system s light collection efficiency. The reslt is higher sensitivity for demanding assays.
