Recognize and utilize RESOURCES in order to grow this specialty area in your practice With international travel increasing in popularity and pharmacists' scopes of practice expanding, travel health presents an excellent opportunity for pharmacists to provide a valuable service for their patients. Yet very few pharmacists practice in the space. Time constraints and a lack of confidence contribute to this phenomenon. This engaging and informative workshop in travel medicine will review the essentials of pretravel consultation through a series of interactive cases. AM #2: 60 second Diabetic Foot Screen: Physical Assessment of Diabetic Feet Vaughn Chauvin, B.Sc.Phm, BCGP, R.Ph Adeline Tan, BSc (Pharm), RPh, CDE 1. Review and identify the problems that can occur in the feet of diabetic patients 2. This workshop teaches a physical assessment technique that requires less than $10 worth of equipment, only 60 seconds of time, and can help diabetic patients better care for their feet. *Please note that this is an experiential workshop and learners will be examining each other s feet. Gloves and hand sanitizer will be available. UBC Continuing Pharmacy Professional Development, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences: Update 2018 Page 3
