Research Experiences i) : One year research experience at International Centre for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B) as an M. Sc. student. ii) : Worked for one and half year in a research project on rotavirus at the Institute of Post Graduate medicine and Research (IPGM&R), Bangladesh as a research fellow. iii) : Three years research experience as a PhD student at the Institute of Virology, University of Glasgow, UK. iv) : Two years research on Screening of HBsAg, Anti-HBs and Anti- HBc in sera from healthy pregnant women in Bangladesh. The study was funded by Boehringer Manheim, Germany. v) , 2006-date: Principal Investigator of a project of IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna) on Molecular based Diagnosis of Infectious diseases. The project was also supported by the Ministry of Science and Communication & Information Technology, GOB. vi) : One year Post Doctoral research Fellowship by UNU-KIRIN at the National food Research Institute (NFRI), Tsukuba, Japan.

3 vii) viii) ix) 2007 to 2009: PI of the project Development of a molecular based diagnosis of M. tuberculosis and hepatitis B virus infections and also to detect the molecular basis of Multi-drug resistance of TB and HBV. The project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Communication & Information Technology, GOB : PI of the project: Development of an effective and fast molecular based technique for the detection of Hepatitis B and C virus infections and determination of their genotypes.
