October December 2008 Teaching Assistant, Department of Biology, The Hashemite University, Zarqa, Jordan Professional Experience October 2002 to present- Research Assistant, Ecology and Avian eco -physiology Research Laboratory, Department of Biological Science, The Hashemite University. Zarqa, Jordan. October October Research Assistant, at Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, The Hashemite University, Zarqa, Jordan. (My work: Identification and separation of Haptoglobin protein isotypes by Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis). Feb 2000 to July Research Assistant, Animal Physiology Research Laboratory; Department of Biological Science / The Hashemite University, Zarqa, Jordan. Teaching Experience Supervising lab activities for the following courses: - Biology (General Biology I lab) - Biology (General Biology II lab) - Biology (Ecology lab) - Biology (Animal Behaviour lab) - Biology (Endocrinology lab) - Biology (Histology lab) - Biology (Applied animal physiology lab) - Biology (Animal Biology lab) - Biology (Microbial physiology lab) - Biology (Marine biology lab) - Biology (Biochemistry lab) List of courses during my M. Sc study: 1. Molecular immunology 2. Research methods and data analysis 3. Advance Biochemistry 2

3 4. Enzymology 5. Comparative animal physiology 6. advance molecular biology 7. Pathogencity 8. Comparative immunology Scholarship: During my M.Sc. study in The Hashemite University-Department of Biological Science. I have three studentships during my study: 1- Second semester 2000/ First semester 2001/ Second semester 2001/2002. Projects/ Co- researcher: 1. The influence of habitat quality on the breeding parameters of two finch species, the Linnet Carduelis cannabina and Desert Finch Rhodospiza obsoleta ; To identify the factors that affect breeding success in the Linnet and Desert Finch, and compare breeding parameters in natural habitats and in agricultural habitats. Ultimately, the general purpose is to determine if extensive olive plantations and farms in arid environments act as ecological traps for particular species (sink populations). 2. Habitat preferences and genetic differentiation of the two forms of Mourning Wheatear Oenanthe lugens in Jordan. to determine distribution, genetic differentiation and compare various ecological and behavioral aspects of the two forms of the Mourning Wheatear Oenanthe lugens resident in Jordan. The knowledge acquired is also expected to shed light on the genetic basis of melanism in this species. Publications: 1. Janaydeh, M. Hamad, M. and Awadallah, S. (2004). The Relationship Between Haptoglobin Polymorphism and Serum Ceruloplasmin Ferroxidase Activity. Clinical and Experimental Medicine 5: Al-Hmoud, A, Janaydeh, M., Damhuriyeh, S. & Khoury, F. (2007): Inter-locality variation in the reproductive ecology of the linnet (Carduelis cannabina) in Jordan. Zoology in the Middle East 42: Khoury, F., Janaydeh, M., Al-Hmoud, A.
