2 B-drop TM Technology Micro Valve The B-drop dosing system uses micro valve milliliter range. Calibrated Sensor sensor was developed. This highly dynamic solenoid valve allows dosing pulse length modulates the volume of the dispensed droplet. By controlling the duty cycle and frequency of the applied pulse train a precise user controlled volume By measuring the pressure drop over two carefully designed sensor is able to determine the over the droplet period achieves an accuracy of better than ±5%. The sensor is capable of volume indepednent of media viscosity. This feature, combined with sub millisecond reaction times, allows the sensor to measure the volume of each droplet dispensed by the micro valve. The B-drop measurement technology is patent pending. It was developed in collaboration with the Institute for Print Technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Berne, Switzerland. 3 Add Value to your Process Whatever fluids you have in mind, from acid or alkaline solutions up to viscous glucose preparations, the B-drop system can make your microliter fluid dosing precise and reliable. With the B-drop system, every microliter droplet is dispensed quickly, reliably and just in time. Uncertainties about the dispensed volume or time of dose are a thing of the past. Accumulation is eliminated as a result of to the B-drop s high injection velocity rates of 0.01 ml/h are far lower than is achievable with any peristaltic pump. 4 B-drop TM Dosing Units Using identical micro valve technology, two dosing units are available in the B-drop Family. The economical B-drop mini uses a valve only, while the B-drop control combines a valve and an integrated flow sensor. Constructed of stainless steel and PPSU plastic, both units are highly chemically resistant. B-drop mini The B-drop mini combines economy and simplicity. Capable of dosing frequencies of up to 20 Hz, it is guaranteed to achieve at least a million cycles before needing replacement. Its 8.5 mm diameter means it is suitable for use in standard 9mm, ation in drop size ensures reproducibility. Available as a sterile, gamma irradiated product, or as a non-sterile component, the B-drop mini is suitable for a wide range of applications. For best results the B-drop mini should be driven with a ReseaTech 4-Channel Valve Controller. Features + low cost + smal size (M5 mounting thread, Ø 8.5 mm) + droplets < 1 μl possible + optional sterilization (gamma) Applications + process control loops (ph,..) + simple dosing applications B-drop control The B-drop control is a high-tech dosing system at a very competitive price point. The low price point enables single use with the B-drop commander unit, the B-drop control is a simple and effective bioreactors. + volume control + + smal size (M8 mounting thread, Ø 11 mm) + gamma sterilized + no media calibration required Applications: + + B-drop commander The B-drop control dosing units are driven and controlled by the B-drop commander. This control unit generates an appropriate current wave The B-drop commander was developed with micro bioreactors in mind. The commander is able to implement various dosing strategies like linear, exponential and batch modes, as well as target volume dosing strategies. Flow rates from 0.01 to 10 ml/h, ensure that the B-drop commander can be used for a wide variety of applications. viscosities up to 10 mpas and a feed stock pressure of roughly 1 bar allow for fully user from tedious calibration procedures, minimizing the chance of error and the time for installation.
