1 SOUTHEAST SOCIETY OF HEALTH SYSTEM PHARMACISTS, CLEVELAND CLINIC FLORIDA & MEMORIAL HEALTH SYSTEM SESHP s 17 th Annual Meeting and Resident Forum Location: Jagelman Conference Center Cleveland Clinic Florida 2950 Cleveland Clinic Blvd. Weston, FL March 10 and 11, :00am-5:00pm Target Audience: Pharmacists, Technicians, Students, Nurses and Others in related Pharmaceutical Settings. We encourage participation by all qualified persons without regard to race, sex, creed, national origin or religion. Programming will provide an in-depth representation with fair, full disclosures and equitable balance. Continuing Education Maximum of 12.0 hours of C.E. credits. FSHP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a CE provider and will provide credit for General CE hours. FSHP is an approved Florida Board of Pharmacy CE Provider and will provide credit for Consultant Pharmacist Re-Certification hours. Cleveland Clinic Florida is an approved Florida Board of Nursing CE Provider and will provide credit for General Nursing CE hours. This program will host 8 clinical tracks for the following specialty areas: General Medicine I and II, Infectious Diseases, Health Care Administration, Critical Care, Cardiology, Oncology and Neurology During this program, speakers will: Review pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and diagnostic criteria for respective disease states. Review roles of the healthcare practitioner for managing patients with acute illnesses. Discuss drug therapy and treatment strategies of respective disease states including drug classes, dosing and pharmacology Explain patient assessment and monitoring for efficacy and side effects of drug therapy Mention importance of laboratory testing and drug interactions of drug therapy Identify new and emerging therapies for the treatment of respective disease states
