Sheet Glass Tempering Process Heating Heat the glass well above transition temperature of 567 C and below softening point of 710 C Maintain glass optically flat or form to a required shape Quenching Uniformly cool top and bottom surfaces below strain temperature of 510 C keeping them cooler than the center plane of glass Cooling Cool back to ambient or handling temperature 9

Glaston ilook in Brief Developed especially for optical glass quality monitoring ilook is an online system to measure roller wave and edge lift Deviations from optical target level found quickly and easily due to a very visual user interface Multiple cameras measure laser reflections and calculate results for numerical values which can be shown in millimeters, inches or millidiopters Consistent and repeatable measurements Indicative dimensions are measured with the intent of superimposing glass surface distortion data on the corresponding glass sheet geometry PDF reports for each batch. When integrated, measured data available in quality management reporting system (QMS ). Can be used with horizontal batch flat tempering lines or laminating lines Scalable up to 3,300 mm Leading technology, unique concept 11

Glaston ilook measurement principle Glass sheets measured online while moving Top cameras measure LED light bar reflection for indicative dimension measurement and visualization Bottom cameras image laser point reflections for surface profile measurement Data processed, visualized, saved and reported per batch loading 12

Glaston ilook measurement Glaston ilook converts optical quality to numerical values and visualises it in quality classification Glass Roller wave (local bow): Peak-to-valley depth Edge lift (edge kink): Gap between glass edge and imaginary straight line Clear 3D picture with colour coded visuals Measured { maximum values Optical classification 13

Glaston ilook Benefits All produced glasses are measured for roller wave and edge lift Can be used as a marketing message for the customers (quality oriented brand) No extra resource needed for all glasses Less quality management costs (fewer check points) and supply chain costs Consistent deliveries to customers Customer satisfaction increases More business in the long run (brand, reliability etc.) Less reclamations, remakes and supply chain costs Cost efficiency by detecting optical defects early enough Glasses of poor optical quality can be removed before further processing Laminating: PVB savings, less machine & man hours IG: Less machine & man hours Less supply chain / production costs Overall quality costs decrease 16

Glaston ilook Benefits No human error Automatic distortion measurement prevents human errors Less quality costs and reclamations Immediate feedback to operator Faster unloading (no need for manual distortion measurement) Better working efficiency Less waste: Immediate feedback saves further batches of poor quality Less quality and supply chain costs Set your own quality level The right distortion level for each delivery Increased customer satisfaction 17

Installations & Testimonial 21 (36%) 3 20 (13%) 4 The quality the Glaston furnace produces is very good and the reports that the integrated ilook provides are very impressive. We ve used these reports as part of our presentations to our target customers, and they too find them remarkable, as they are continuously looking for better quality products. And ilook gives them the quality assurance they appreciate. 5 (20%) 3 11 (16%) As of September 2016: Integrated: 57 Stand-alone: 10 Ian Lee, Business Development Manager of Meng Heng Glass Pte Ltd, Singapore 18
