Strategic sourcing of towers, conductors, insulators, hardware & accessories through local & global sources 2. Responsible for Long Term O&M Contracts for Transmission Line and Substation. 3. Negotiations, Contracting & contract management, 4. Manage cost- project cost within budget with cost savings 5. Ensure timely appointments of contractors & timely deliveries with EHS compliance 6. To provide prebid commercial details with bottom up costing approach to bidding teams for transmission line & substations switch yards & Transformers/Reactors 7. Develop Market intelligence for all bids happening in India with cost trend understanding & set bench marks for commercials 8. Vendor development & create strategic tie up /back to back arrangements 9. Sourcing through e auction platform 10. Understand taxation & its impact analysis to decide upon sourcing strategy(local/global) 11. Past history Database management, industry benchmarks for cost 12. To develop vendor base for all commodities, relationship management & create tie ups for competitive advantages & faster project delivery 13. Track commodity movements & assess its impact on sourcing 14. Releasing purchase orders from PR as per pre decided timelines 15. Talent management & skill development Delivery performance management 1. Support project teams for timely project delivery 2. Contract compliances, issuing warning as per the contract clauses, Decide upon risk purchases 3. Site visiting to supervise the execution activities to ensure proper safety and usage of material. It will be preferred if person has first hand project experience. Knowledge of tools & tackles, norms of civil works, stringing efficiency, Manpower efficiency so that zero based costing can be done. Steel /cement commodity knowledge & sourcing, IEEMA /CACMAI circulars. Knowledge of China market for Transmission line items such as Insulators, hardware s, transformers, reactors etc. Previous experience in project execution
