The Position Job Level: E5/E5A dependent upon experience and complexity of specific product assignments Purpose: The Product Supply Chain Owner is the key interface between Global Supply Chain and the Product Management Team, leading activities with demand and supply chain planners and other key stakeholders responsible for Global Product Supply Chain management to ensure the product s supply chain is configured to account for business decisions and is actively managed to ensure reliable supply to our customers. The Global Supply Chain scope may include multiple manufacturing sites, CMO s, demand from 60+ markets and specific country

2 regulatory requirements. The Global Product Supply Chain Owner manages configuration of up to several product family supply chains and ensures alignment between our product manufacturing strategy and our overall PT execution at a Global level. The PSCO is also responsible for leading processes for the identification, escalation and resolution of supply issues which could otherwise result in a supply shortage. Particular areas of focus include assuring regulatory compliance in all markets, system accuracy, master data accuracy, transactional data accuracy (that impacts the supply chain),and aligning the supply chain with other project requirements or dependencies (e.g. switches, tech transfers, validation activities and other projects that impact the global supply chain). In the event that an assigned product is in the launch phase, involved in site change or transfer being divested or expanding to new markets and configurations, the Product Supply Chain Owner also leads a cross-functional launch team consisting of representatives across the supply chain community including global functions and specific market or country-level affiliates. Key Responsibilities for each assigned product family: The Product Supply Chain Owner is a matrix leader, responsible for managing the product supply chain sub-team consisting of demand, supply, long-range, clinical supply and direct market planners. Depending upon the life-cycle and specific product strategies, the PSCO may also provide matrix leadership and support to other leaders in the PT community (including Tech Transfer, Partner Management, etc) that are working on projects that impact the assigned products The role of the Product Supply Chain Owner is truly global in nature. The PSCO will be coordinating activities across the globe ensuring alignment of our supply plans with Roche affiliates and compliance with local regulatory requirements. The PSCO is responsible to represent the supply chain function on the Technical Product Team and serves as the single point of contact for supply chain matters. Consults with the Technical Product Leads and the Product Review Committee and provides guidance on a variety of subject matters both strategic and operational in nature. Leads changes in the product supply chain across the Roche Global network to realize the objectives of the product lifecycle management. Regularly leads and provides business requirements on specific supply chain optimization projects. The PSCO develops an understanding of accumulated risks to the product and assesses mitigation options by building alignment with key stakeholders up to the highest levels of the PT organization. These recommendations/decisions impact not only the available supply, but thereby affect the company revenue and reputation in all markets we serve. The PSCO is also responsible for representing supply chain and the product management team at the Global Expert Group (GEG), a team of cross-functional executive leaders, which provides direction in managing supply issues that may impact patients, our regulatory requirements and potentially our company reputation. Leads cross-functional Launch Readiness Team (LRT) consisting of supply & demand planners, artworks, regulatory, clinical supply, purchasing, packaging development, MSAT, master production scheduler/planner, quality, master data, distribution and other operations representatives. The PSCO develops initial demand requirements using input from the Long Range Plan, and/or initial country forecasts and clinical demand forecasts and determines requirements to balance demand/supply risks in consultation with various key stakeholders. The PSCO also provides regular launch status updates to the Technical Product Teams, Product Review Committee and other Executives across the PT organization. Leads cross-functional Change Implementations Team responsible for managing the

3 supply chain during the cutover between product versions, transfers and switches. Manages configuration of a product family supply chain, assuring regulatory compliance, adherence to physical flow guidelines, data accuracy and align the supply chain with other project requirements or dependencies (e.g. switches, tech transfers, validation activities and other projects that impact the global supply chain). Routinely reviews network performance and identifies opportunities for improvement. Develops and maintains the product supply chain maps, a diagram which describes the product linkages between sites and can be used for educational purposes across the entire organization. The PSCO is responsible for managing the entire operational planning horizon which is being extended to cover from 2 to 3 years and also is responsible for understanding and clarifying the supply chain implications for transitions between the near term and the strategic planning horizon covered by the LRP process Defines and aligns inventory targets and safety stocks globally (Finished Goods, Drug Product, Drug Substance and critical Drug Substance Intermediates) within the entire network Proposes appropriate Key Performance Indicator(s) for product supply chain and ensures KPI tracking, root cause analysis and corrective actions are taken. Maintains and manages E2E product supply and demand plans. Accountable for driving the reconciliation process and the resolution of conflicts. Validates and rationalizes the balancing of supply and demand on a global level with a significant potential impact to the company of having too much (obsolescence) or too little (product shortages) available supply. Qualifications & Experience: BS degree in related field required. MS or MBA strongly preferred Minimum of years in Supply Chain or related work experience (Technical Operations) Minimum of years in Pharmaceutical industry or related work Strong Supply Chain Management acumen. APICS Certification preferred Subject-matter expertise in ERP and supply chain systems and reporting. Specific experience with SAP R/3, BW and APO at all levels Good understanding of Pharmaceutical industry (regulatory environment), GMP, risk management assessments and project management Experience in the core activities of Pharma Technical Operations (Manufacturing, Quality, Technical Regulatory, Technical Development, Supply Chain) Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel macros and pivot tables
